I have celiac. They wrote down my allergy in bold on the order. They put my sandwich on non-GF bread and messed up my partners sandwich as well. It was obvious to me that it was regular bread - it was big haha. It seems like they have a gluten free area for preparing food, but clearly didn’t read my order correctly and served me non-gluten free bread. They remade the sandwiches when I pointed out the error and apologized.
The sandwiches were amazing on gluten free bread. Everything was so fresh.

Delicious turkey sandwich on GF bread. Breakfast bowl was excellent. High quality.we will be back!
Knowledgeable staff with an extensive menu containing numerous healthy options. I had an amazing (and huge) breakfast here and felt really safe. They also provide take out and could make most of their sandwiches with gluten free bread.
The food was tasty and the staff were knowledgeable. I felt comfortable and we were able to find food for everyone in our party.

Limited options. They said even the vegan soup wasn’t safe for someone with an allergy. I maybe could’ve gotten a salad safely, but opted for a green juice. $10 later I got a cup with half juice and the rest foam. Disappointing experience. Will look for better local alternatives.
While they did not have clearly marked GF items, they told us “everything on the menu can be made gf except…” pizza can be gf but goes in the same oven so I didn’t risk it. I had the nachos based on the glowing reviews and they were good and plentiful with all ingredients evenly spaced throughout. Hubs had an egg scrambled breakfast bowl and he loved it! Nice outdoor seating options but right on a busy road. Gets busy at lunch.
It was a great experience. When I was in line to order, the staff who approached me to help (I wish I had her name) was aware of celiac and cashier marked my order as a gluten allergy. She also informed me that they have a separate food preparation process for gluten allergy. I ordered nachos which was great and had no issues/ symptoms. Thank you Sprouts cafe @ South Lake Tahoe!
Delicious breakfast - made exactly like we wanted. No GF baked goods.
A staple for us when visiting. Had both breakfast and lunch here again, ordered the breakfast bowl, nachos, and a couple of smoothies. They have a gluten allergy option when ordering, always feels safe here.
100% recommend this place. Found it as we were leaving and already have plans to come back. The nachos are filling and amazing! Highly recommend.
Yes yes yes yes yes this place is awesome!! Delicious! They even have gluten free tortilla chips ! ! ! I got a sandwich, ate it, and immediately wanted to go get another one!
We really enjoyed this restaurant. Was able to order gf for 2 of us and not gf for the 3rd. Super laid back, and everyone enjoyed their food. And reasonably priced compared to other places in Tahoe.
Great place to eat. They asked whether it is an allergy or not when you order gluten and dairy free food. Vegan cheese available. Order a rice bowl, excellent. Would come again if I return to Lake Tahoe!
They had gluten free bread and wraps for breakfast burrito. I got the burrito and it was great! They asked if it was a preference or an allergy when I ordered.
Stopped by here for lunch on my way out of Tahoe. I was pleasantly surprised to find that much of the menu is available GF. I asked staff to Mark my order with a gluten free allergy. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was delicious. Everyone working at the establishment was very nice and accommodating!
They are clueless about gf. They have non gluten free pies in the gluten free display and the girl selling them ‘hopes’ they are gluten-free. Seriously?!
Their gluten free tortillas are made from a an enriched whole wheat flour..
They add wheat bread to a gluten free salad order and use shared boards for wheat and gf orders.
Honestly, they should be disqualified from even being able to sell gf things given to how clueless they are.
This place wouldn’t have survived a minute in a large city as gluten-free health option.
The manager helped me with gf df (they also do not use latex gloves if you’re allergic to latex too). I had the Huevos bowl with no beans. Regular bread is stored on a shelf over the top of the beans so didn’t want to take a chance that a crumb had fallen in. The bowl was delicious! It had veggies (mushrooms, carrots, broccoli), eggs, salsa, brown rice, and avocado. The Manager was very helpful and I highly recommend this place! Did not get sick and I’m super sensitive.
My son (who is celiac) got a salad with rice and chicken and enjoyed it. I heard them say they have GF tortillas but we didn’t ask about how they prepare them.
Dedicated prep area for allergens. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff!
We ordered nachos and a budget burrito. I asked if they could heat the tortilla on a separate surface from where they heat the wheat tortillas. They said they would be glad to. I tested the items with the Nima tester and they came back gf. Lots of gf options vegan cheese available. The tortilla chips are NOT cross contaminated.
I have Celiac and felt very comfortable eating here. The food was amazing!
This place is amazing. Love the outdoor seating. Food is really clean and yummy. And they have a juicer!!!!!!!! FYI u grab a menu and order at counter than sit down.
Excellent friendly cafe. Gluten free taken seriously. With many options including sandwich choices. Dog friendly. On patio. Couldn't ask for a better eating place in Tahoe.

The Tahoe Turkey sandwich on GF bread is my favorite. Best place to eat in Tahoe if you are a celiac like myself and you like great natural organic food.
Absolutely delicious! I had the rice bowl Cadillac style and DH had the nachos. Both were fresh, filling and delicious. If a meal is not a meal to you without meat, this is not the place for you. If, however, you enjoy a meatless meal now and then, definitely try this place.
Smoothies and a variety of dishes are gf. Big bowl of brown rice, beans, and cheese is less than $4! Staff was familiar with gluten allergies and knew which items could be gf, including breakfast items. Dog friendly on patio. I'd go here again.
