Fantastic experience. They have a GF menu and separate fryers. Delicious food and I think they are quite inexpensive. 6 years ago we loved this place and this year, 2024, we loved it again while visiting NZ.

With such a good recommendation on here, I decided to try the dish and chips. Well unfortunately i was severely ill. Cross contamination is my only guess. I do not recommend if your coeliac.

Spudz is my local f’n’c shop, so I have gf fish and chips every couple weeks/once a month. Never had an issue. Very nice. Comes wrapped separately to the other food ordered.

Well labeled and readily available GF menu with a dedicated kitchen area and fryer. We had fish, chips and hot dogs - all were crispy and tasty.

Everything was beautifully cooked, except for my squid rings. Overall, a very yummy meal.. We love visiting here when in Tauranga.

As the only 100% gluten free chippie in Tauranga, you’re restricted with choice. Initially, we thought they weren’t too bad. That was, until we tried gluten free fish and chips in other cities. Now, we realise just how ‘not nice’ the batter is. The crumb is slightly better. The tempura fish bites are half the size of a normal fillet, coated with not what I’d call a tempura batter. They could really improve the standard batter. The service and speed are great though.

Really good food. Awesome to go somewhere that only has gluten free food and no risk of contamination. My coeliac daughter was so excited that there were more than 3-4 options, and her face lit up when she realised she could have anything.
