I found these guys on Yelp and thought I'd give it a go. I give them credit - it's one of "those" places "they" tell you are off the grid so word of mouth is what sells it. Long line but efficient. The menu is marked clearly for GF as well as vegan and vegetarian. It's centered around rice based brunch. They also have baked goods. Now the issue. Ignore the bleak service, I specifically ordered GLUTEN FREE items and made mention of it. The girl at the counter was unenthusiastic at best and disenchanted with how busy they were that when I had a question, it was tossed. I ordered TO GO a lovely looking gf chocolate almond bread slice. My regular food came. I ate it. It was just ok. Since then, my stomach has been churning. (In that sort of way that it does when you have gluten)THIS IS NOT A DEDICATED KITCHEN. I'm ok with that normally but now I'm sitting here doubled over in pain as I write this.Oh. That lovely pastry? The girl rang me up for a very expensive "chocolate and peanut butter brioche". (Their version of French toast) it was incredibly pricey, not what I ordered and definitely not gluten free. I felt rushed out of there after eating so I didn't check until I got home. It's a great place if you don't have to be in the neighborhood, it's day light, and it's not a Saturday.
