A manager of the restaurant located in the cheese co-op confirmed to me that their fries aren’t Celiac safe. Fries for GF orders are initially fried in a dedicated GF fryer, but are then blanched in a second area with non-GF fries. He was very helpful in his response and aware of the risks of cross contamination for Celiac. Despite this I’ve marked this a 1-star as I’ve eaten here more than once and was repeatedly assured that the classic poutine was Celiac safe (as a member of management has a family member with Celiac). I was quite ill after one meal at peak hours but thought it was from something else while traveling, my other meals there I lucked out in terms of CC as they were during weekdays and very early in the day. I won’t be risking it again.
