There is no Gluten free menu. I asked my server to help point out gluten free items, he asked which item I was looking at. Usually, the server can give an overview of safe items but he was not helpful. If you want a great gluten free seafood experience in St. Augustine, go to St. Augustine Fish Camp. They have gluten free fried seafood and helpful staff. I think the review left in June 2024 was referring to the Fish Camp because this place did not have many GF options, no apps, nothing fried, no deserts. Your options are basically grilled seafood, some of the sushi, and oysters.
Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. It’s been years since our GF party had fried foods so it was a real special treat. The GF fried shrimp, scallops, and fish were all great. The smoked fish dip appetizer was a bit of a disappointment especially since they only had cucumbers for dipping. The chocolate mousse cake was outstanding.
I let our server know of my gluten allergy and went with the grilled shrimp, grilled scallops, collard greens and Cole slaw. Sadly, my meal came with hush puppies on my plate. I explained my severe allergy again and they took it back and made a new one. It took a bit longer, but to my surprise, they comped my meal and gave my husband another cocktail, gratis. Bonus points for having a restaurant cat named Oyster. ๐ I made a friend at lunch. ๐ Food was good and I did not get sick, but there are so many other GREAT places to go.
Liars. Ordered $39 steak. Medium well.
Blood floating on plate. Waited forever for her patiently.
When she didn’t return walked to hostess. Told hostess please cook steak.
Took 20 minutes then she said sorry we will not charge you I said no problem I don’t want steak anyways. Everyone is done and tired.
Still charged $39 after she placed steak down and said steak was actually done.
Nope.
Love this place. Lots of items on the menu can be made gluten free. I had the shrimp and grits
