The plantbased "Banana Rice Flour Muffin" and "Banana Rice Flour Rolled Cake" is glutenfree. It's good visible, because every cake has, as usual for Starbucks, a little Sign with allergens next to the cake. If there is no "小麦" it is wheat free. The staff is also very helpful and checks the cake in the app, where every allergen is listed. There you can see what's inside, like in this case soy products.
Starbucks in Japan sell rice flour banana muffins sometimes individually wrapped which are very safe. They also sell a rice flour banana roulade cake which is very nice. I ate a lot of both as Starbucks is literally everywhere in Japan. The muffins can be a little dry but if you get them fresh they are much better. The roulade cake has a plant based cream in it so it is less dry and very light to eat. Highly recommend if you need quick and safe snacks.
Il y a un muffin à la banane à la farine de riz. J’ai demandé à voir la liste des allergènes. Quand je lui ai dis que c’était une allergie elle m’en a sorti un d’en emballage en plastique afin qu’il n’aille pas été en contact avec du gluten.
