Starbucks now oilers a breakfast sandwich that is certified gluten free. Bacon egg and cheese in gf bun. It was delicious
EDIT MAY 26 2018: I’ve been here twice since the announcement and they still have the Gluten Free Breakfast Sandwich. Not sure when they will run out though. ——— EDIT MAY 2018: Gluten free breakfast sandwich discontinued. Thanks for nothing Starbucks. ———- Original review below- ——— Starbucks has a new gluten free breakfast sandwich, which is made in a certified GF space. What you get is pretty much a ham/egg/cheese tiny sandwich sealed up in a steam pouch of some kind. I believe Chuck E. Cheese does this same thing with personal pizzas. So you can be assured it's safe for people with celiac. They probably just throw it in the microwave, but it's kind of tasty. I can't it Dunkin Donuts breakfast items so I don't have much to compare it to, but from my perspective it's on par with a frozen Udi's breakfast sandwich. Good when you need something on the go, but not amazing. You can buy a box of the Udi's for less money.
Ive been to the LaPorte store several times since opening in Dec. Not having been a Starbucks regular, I found staff to be kind and accommodating in answering my questions and helping me not be cross contaminated. They've even been patient with my son who only likes certain things. I'm sure whatever they made him was an off menu item based on what he wanted in it--and he loved it!Im told sometimes they have gf sandwiches (that are sealed), but I've yet to get my hands on one. I have noticed snack items, chips, prepacked gf cookies, etc for purchase off rack, and food pack option that includes cheese, grapes, and hard boiled eggs for on the go so they do seem to try to cater to the gf crowd some.
Most Starbucks now offer gluten free breakfast sandwiches and a selection of gluten free packaged snacks. This one not only did not have anything, they were rude about it. I’ve never experienced a rude Starbucks until now. My daughter was inconsolable, and hungry!
Has the gluten free breakfast sandwich, yeah!
Starbucks now has a GF prepackaged breakfast sandwich—egg patty, uncured Canadian bacon, & cheese on GF English muffin-like bread. No chance of contamination as it is sealed. It was ok, hot and better than settling for something w/o bread at nearby restaurants. Good to know also for airports! Thank you Starbucks!
Have a Certified GF breakfast sandwich that is contained in its own package when heating up so NO cross contamination occurs!! Very yummy- I was happy with it. They also have some chip and other unique packaged GF snacks. Also their Starbucks made GF marshmallow rice crispy treat that I did not feel sick from and it was amazing! Highly recommend for breakfast or quick snack.
Always an option. In the small px.
Customer service is a hit or miss at this location, however I like that I can bring my pup as there is outdoor seating and I like the convenience of ordering and paying through the Starbucks app. Finally decided to try Certified Gluten Free Breakfast Sandwich after speaking with the staff about how it is prepared. While the use separate tongs and the sandwich is sealed, they use the same counter space and oven lined with oven paper as their non gf items and expressly say they cannot guarantee safety. Once it was heated, they placed the still sealed sandwich in a pastry bag. I opened the bag carefully, however I did still worry they could be crumbs on package. The sandwich itself was a standard breakfast sandwich with the expected chewy, density from most gf muffins, but it was nice to finally get to eat something prepared at Starbucks. I paired it with a decaf Americano. Not entirely safe but I had no issues, reactions or illness, and plan on having another sandwich at this particular location in the future.
Awesome if you've never been I suggest it. They have a gluten free sandwich that is packaged by itself and many more snacks and drinks.
Always enjoy a stop at Starbucks for morning coffee and scones while traveling; however, since hubby was diagnosed with Celiac we no longer visited. Thanks to the previous reviewer we can once again have our morning coffee at Starbucks. Hubby had the GF breakfast sandwich and I can enjoy my morning scone. Definitely recommend-now to check others locations on our trip.
Friendliest Starbucks that I have ever visited. Had a delicious GF coffee drink, but the service was the best part. Unbelievable!!
The gluten free breakfast sandwiches were removed from their sealed bags before they were served to us. Yikes! The whole point of these sandwiches is that they are in a sealed bag. When my husband brought them back up to the counter, the girl was pleasant, but could not grasp the concept of what he was saying. When he said that they were supposed to stay in the sealed bag she said, "You mean you don't want them cooked?" She did point out that she used gluten free tongs and showed him the gluten free area, but she didn't understand the concept. Finally another worker said, "Never take them out of the bag!" They gave us a safe sandwich after that. Just be alert here because it seems their GF training isn't consistent.
Always a option and there are two in the mall
not dedicated GF kitchen so not great for celiac but might be ok if you have NCGS. they have a couple wheat/gluten free salads in the front, but if you ask they also have a "certified" gf breakfast sandwich (bun egg meat) which isn't awful. but also not listed on the menu in the front anywhere.
Starbucks recently debuted the gluten free breakfast sandwiches. They are very good in my opinion and they make them safely in a sealed bag when toasting them and give them to you in the bag so they are safe. Only giving four stars because they are pricey and I'm waiting for more gluten free options to come out.

The gluten free breakfast sandwiches have been discontinued. Some Starbucks locations still have gluten free options whereas others have very limited options.
