This place is very silly and not very good except for the gluten free fried fish, which is great. Thin batter. The chips are bad…slightly undercooked and no flavor. I usually love potatoes.
The lamest part though is that nearly all the sauces contain gluten. Tartare sauce, aioli, plain mayo….what? So my choice was vinegar or catsup. Bleh. Plus the salad dressing had gluten so I couldn’t share my partner’s salad. You pay for the individual sauces. Huh?
If you’re going to offer a gluten-free item, why not work on sauces to go with it? Why not make the chips edible? Would not eat here again.
To be fair, they did remove the chips from the bill.
Don’t bother.
Seriously, just try somewhere else.
GF fish and chips are available many other places, try one of those instead.
This was the first time I’ve had my fish delivered in broken clumps of fish instead of one battered fillet. The fish was good quality, but the batter lacked flavor. Chips were adequate. My mother got regular F&C and her batter was not cooked through.
Seriously, just don’t.
Gluten-free fish and fish bites. Separate fryers user for their fish and chips. As soon as you order GF they make sure to pass you the white wine vinegar and advise that you don’t have the lemon wedge as it risks being contaminated. So refreshing to have staff fully aware.
All fish & chips can be made separately in a dedicated gluten free fryer. Tastes good too!
