A celiacs dream!! Really enjoyed this restaurant and the fact that I didn’t need to worry about cross contact. I got the B.L.T. and it was hands down the best BLT I’ve ever had. The bread used for the sandwiches was amazing and didn’t fall apart like most gluten free bread does!
Everything on the food menu is gluten free & common allergens (e.g. soy, dairy) are clearly marked on the menu.
We are a meat-friendly, plant-forward boutique pub with plenty of options and a flexible menu to accommodate most food allergies or intolerances.
My sister and I (who are both celiac) enjoyed one of the greatest tasting meals and cocktails we have ever had, even before our diagnoses. Everything in the restaurant is gluten free because the head chef is celiac! They just don’t advertise it so it doesn’t keep the GF haters away (we know they’re out there!) This place has better tasting food than most places that only serve glutenous options. All the bread is made fresh everyday in house, including the burger buns. Hands down the best burger we’ve ever had. The menu had so much on it, we couldn’t decide so we ordered 3 things to share. The chef changes the menu daily to accommodate fresh ingredients and seasonal flavors, and she makes every item to order. The staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Our server made up a cocktail for us on the spot after hearing what flavors we wanted/liked, and I am still dreaming about it. They also offer a wide variety of gluten free beers and whiskeys. Not to mention, the environment is cozy and welcoming. I’m telling you, GO TO STONE ROW. Indulge in the whole experience; from the warm (gf) bread and butter, to the amazing main dishes, to the delectable desserts and artisan cocktails. While you may leave wanting more, you’ll be so full and happy, you certainly won’t leave disappointed.
Incredible restaurant! LOVE it ❤ Worth the 1-1.5 hr drive for us. I’m Celiac and have a dairy allergy. I can eat pretty much everything on the menu. The menu does change based on sourcing availability, but the 2 times I been to the restaurant, I’ve wanted to try everything. The hummus and bread loaf are always a highlight and the DF/GF lime cheesecake trifle was the best dessert I’ve had in a long, long time. My husband’s steak was cooked perfectly and he loved the trifle dessert and the broccoli cheese soup both of which he could not believe were dairy free! I’d LOVE a cookbook from this restaurant!!
the owner/founder herself has a whole slew of food sensitivities so you know that care is taken because she understands it herself. whole restaurant is dedicated gluten free, everything made in-house with an ever-changing menu so there is plenty of variety. they have plant based, soy, and derivatives of corn marked on the menu, but if you have any other food issues the staff are all very knowledgeable and willing to accommodate. definitely feels weird, but also really nice at the same time, to be able to order anything i want on the menu (except for alcohol but they do have alc-free and gluten free alcohols on the menu)
We had a wonderful experience at Stone Row! I loved that the entire menu was dedicated gf and the food was fantastic. We especially enjoyed the deviled egg appetizer! Although I didn’t have any gf beer, they do offer some choices. We would absolutely visit again!
This place was lots of fun and very unusual. The kitchen is dedicated gluten free, but the bar, which is totally separate, is not, although even behind the bar gluten free and non are carefully separated. The atmosphere is very nice, but the offerings are limited and the menu changes daily, depending on availability of fresh food. Almost everything is made from scratch. Some of the food was unusual and delicious. Other food was okay. The bread is home baked and nice. We got a small loaf warm, right out of the oven, thank you Holly. Holly, the server, was wonderful. The chef also came out to check on how we were doing, and was also lovely. Didn't get sick.
Such a wonderful find! The food was delicious, and it was such a relief knowing they are dedicated gluten free. I had the Bangkok Bowl, which had great taste and texture (though the "samosas" were more like spicy patties). The servers are clearly knowledgeable about food sensitivities. NOTE: Their menu has a disclaimer that when they're full, meals can take 30+ minutes. I happened to be there right as they opened for dinner, and our food came out quickly.
Dedicated gluten free, also nut free. Small but quaint restaurant. Not many tables but totally worth the wait. Food was amazing. Picky child loved the steak burger with bacon and cheese and the artician bread appetizer. We all liked the cauliflower taco appetizer and the rice and veggie plate was real tasty. We traveled out of way on our vacation to get our celiac child a good meal. Worth the drive and wait. Parking is tricky as this is in a quaint town, but we found a spot within a 2 minute walk.
I can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s a gluten free slice of paradise. The owner has done everything to make sure that her establishment is safe and serves only top quality gluten free meals. We felt so safe and the food was out of this world. We started with the bread and OMG, just get it. I had the Denver steak special and my wife had the fumee Mac and cheese and everything was incredibly delicious. Do yourself and your stomach a favor and add Stone Row on your list of must eat gluten free restaurants.
Incredible. Can I start by saying the BREAD!!! The entire menu is GF and peanut/tree nut free. They are allergen specialists. The place is a from scratch kitchen. I never ever felt so special at a restaurant. The owner/chef spoke with us. She has true passion for her establishment and patrons. It was incredible. I am also DF and they can modify but most everything was DF.
I had 3 appetizers as my meal and my husband had salmon. Both of us were thrilled. We decided we want to go there for a graduation celebration for our daughter this year since she is also celiac.
I forgot to mention the cocktails are out of this world and hand crafted. I had a lemon cocktail and it was delicious. They also have gf beer and ciders but I just don’t drink beer- sharing for your information. 😊
You simply must patronize this business. Go out of your way to get there!
This was an amazing experience, when ever I travel I always worry if I will have options and this place was 100% GF and a lot of the options didn’t contain dairy. And if anyone had a very serious allergy, they won’t allow other food in the restaurant just in case. The chef was so nice to talk to and my friends and I had an amazing meal.
Great experience! Food was amazing and to the fact that everything is gluten free was such a win! The bread with pesto sooo good! Chef and staff have such attention to detail and safety quality, I would recommend this place to anyone especially those who have food allergies. I got the pesto gnocchi with mushrooms and the artisan bread twice with pesto and the other with sunflower hummus. Again such good food and they can accommodate to any allergy. It’s hard to find these kind of places. Very grateful we found this spot on our trip to Jim Thorpe and my first time here too.
Yes, it is fully gluten free! The chef says she doesn't label that fact publicly because of negative reactions from people who refuse to try GF food. But don't worry it's all GF and totally delicious and the servers are great at dealing with other food sensitivities too. All the bread is baked in house and both my non-gf husband and I thought the sandwiches were incredible. You can tell the chef is the real deal and cares about the food a lot. It's small so go early or make a reservation in advance.
This place is a gem! My vote is to take all of your non-gf friends and family here and don’t tell them it’s all gf! Order the bread course with herbed oil even if not inclined to. You won’t regret it. Lots of selections to share or not. Really interesting drink options. We will definitely be back!
Amazing! Dining at Stone Row is must if you’re in the area (or even far away). Despite being a dedicated Gluten Free kitchen and a faithful steward to patrons dealing with other allergies, Stone Row is so much more. First and foremost, this place has really great food. Like really. The ingredients are simple and clean, and the recipes are delicious. Secondly, the owner and staff are so warm and welcoming. It was like eating at your favorite Aunts house for a holiday dinner. Thirdly, the restaurant itself is really cool, unique and definitely memorable. For the first time in a while, my wife and I were finally able to dine out (on vacation nonetheless) while not having to worry about getting sick. Many thanks to the owner and I hope she opens a restaurant in New York one day!
This restaurant was absolutely wonderful for anyone with any type of allergy. It was great to be able to pick anything from the menu and feel safe that it is gluten free and not have to worry about cross contamination. Everyone that worked there made us feel at home and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend!
Went for lunch, appetizers and drinks. The food was great. We order loaves of bread, pulled pork taco, Mac & cheese, pulled pork sandwich. The bar has gluten and non gluten drinks to choose. The bar doesn’t mix with the kitchen. All the food and drinks were served fresh and with high quality.
This place is amazing. Excellent food, prepared to order. Entirely gluten free except for some bottled beers.
We arrived at 8 pm on a Saturday when they had just closed the kitchen because it had been a slow night. When they found out I was celiac they say d, "no, wait," and we had a delicious meal, handsomely presented, as if we were VIPs.
One word of warning - don't drive all the way to the restaurant. Tiny roads and it's all permit parking. Park at the train station and walk up.
