This place is amazing! Cute 2 story building that only serves gluten free food. The chef is gf and understands. The steak and eggs and Mac and cheese, as well as everything else was so good. Waitstaff is friendly and informative. It’s a must do if visiting the Jim Thorp area.

From the moment we inquired about reservations till we said goodbye at the door, the owner of this restaurant was incredible. Three diners from our party were gluten free and it was a joy to eat such delicious, well prepared food without worry. We will be traveling back to this tiny town just to experience another meal.

Everything there is gluten free! (Note: They do offer non-GF beer but this is the only non-GF item on the menu.)

I have had excellent food every time.

Great GF find! They make their own kimchi and focaccia. They have notoriously-great deviled egg appetizers and more. I will be back! (Manager Justin could easily be mistaken as Nate Berkus’ brother!)

Hands down cannot recommend enough!!! Everything on the menu is gluten free. Gluten is not even allowed in the building. The chef ensures that every ingredient is certified gluten free. I’ve never had such delicious gluten free food before. The staff was so friendly and informative and the chef even came out to greet us. The scone and focaccia bread were especially incredible. Highly highly recommend!!

This place is a gem. The entire menu is gluten free, including desserts. We ordered a burger and the steak salad. Both were excellent. The burger even came with homemade gluten free focaccia. Food is fresh and lightly seasoned so you may need to add salt and pepper.

A great GF find! I was wondering why nothing was noted as GF on the menu and it’s because everything is GF! The staff is very knowledgeable about other food sensitivities as well and the food was creative and delicious. Would go back again.

Everything was 100% gluten free (besides selected drinks) The server asked us if any of us had allergens before ordering. Everything was served in take out trays and plastic which was slightly disappointing since it is on the pricey side.

Precious little touristy spot but 100 percent GF with pretty good food. For some reason all the food was served in takeout trays, with cheap plastic forks and knives, and the ketchup was in little packets like at McDonalds. Drinks served in plastic cups. We had to ask for real silverware just to eat. Very strange.

We stumbled upon this restaurant and I can’t believe how lucky we were! The food is delicious! The staff is gracious and the owner came out to say hello and chat. We were even asked if the music was to our satisfaction. My husband is not gf and he thought his dinner was delicious. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. I’ll go out of my way to eat here again. Thank you for such a great meal and atmosphere.

Unfortunately we could not rate the food as the owner of the restaurant denied my daughter service accusing her service dog of being an emotional support animal and not letting her in. She is uneducated and caused unnecessary emotional pain to my daughter who was very excited to be at a gluten free restaurant. We will not be going there with or without a service dog.

Owner Response

Dear Readers: At Stone Row, we research loads of things to keep you safe in our restaurant, such as calling manufacturers and researching ingredients to make sure they are gluten free, peanut free, etc. We also research the rules around service animals versus emotional support animals. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) allows us to ask only the following questions: is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? And what work or task has the dog been trained to perform? According to the ADA, the human is expected to provide information regarding the specific task the dog has been independently trained to performed to assist with the disability.

Most of the folks who present with service animals know the rules and anticipate the questions. We don’t accuse our customers and we’re not interested in people’s private information. We do expect them to be able to answer the federally mandated questions, which makes for a safer, more enjoyable experience for all. Regards, Margaret White, Owner

Kitchen is completely GF - and also shellfish-free & nut-free - including the awesome bread and pasta! Owner is maniacal about keeping the kitchen safe for anyone with allergies or food intolerances (or even just preferences).Try the lentil loaf and the brunch. Minimal dairy on the menu (but the deviled eggs are amazing!) and most menu options are not just GF, but also vegan, or vegetarian. But also offer a great burger, a steak salad, and chicken and salmon dishes. The bar does serve beer, but also has GF beer (!) and of course cider.

Trish was our server who made our experience memorable! All items are gluten free and she knew how to direct My husband with his dairy allergy. We live in Harrisburg and are grateful to find allergy friendly restaurants! Now for the food. The salmon was crispy on the outside and melted on your tongue! It was delightful!!! The curry chicken was cooked to perfection! Nice curry gravy explodes on your tongue with spices. Not too spicy but flavorful! We also had the bread pudding and the lemon tea cake for dessert. Both were wonderfully prepared. The lemon wasn’t overpowering and the buttercream icing wasn’t overly sweet. Combined with the tea cake it made for a treat for your tastebuds! The bread pudding was made with raisins and spices and wasn’t over cooked. Thank you for a memorable experience! We look forward to visiting with friends next time! Note: make reservations. While they still served us we highly recommend doing so. Michael & Scott

Amazing place to eat! The bread is awesome! My husband and I went for lunch. I had soup and samosas, my husband had a beef burger. My husband doesn't like gluten free bread, but loved the bread as his bun. Lunch was so good that we went back for dinner. We both had pasta that was wonderful. Also everyone that worked there was so nice. I will definitely come back!

This was the perfect meal. Everything was delicious. Nothing in this restaurant contains gluten, and no flavor or texture is sacrificed. I have allergies to gluten, dairy, egg, and soy. The menu is clearly marked to note plant-based selections, soy ingredients, or corn ingredients. There were many options for me to choose from. The staff was knowledgeable and responsible about food allergies. The three people dining with me have no dietary restrictions and loved their meals just as much as I did. The owner/chef came out to great us after our meal and was warm and enthusiastic about making amazing, safe food. We will return the next time we visit Jim Thorpe!
