We love going to SMG, but it’s hard for me to eat there with a gluten allergy. Although they offer a GF pizza crust, I’ve gotten sick both of the times I’ve tried it (figured there was an honest cross-contamination mistake the first time, so I decided to try another go). Staff assured me they take care in GF dishes, but no explanation for becoming ill right after...🤷🏻♀. Still enjoy going to view a movie, but wish there was more care.
We had their GF pizza and it definitely was not GF.
Not a good experience on our first try. We asked all the right questions, and server gave us the answers without even checking. OK, great, seems to know what she's doing. We get our food and the person who delivers it says: these fries aren't gluten-free! I responded, "but we asked" the server whisked the fries away as well as our burgers with gluten-free buns. It took a very long time to get our second burgers which had fruit with them. OK. Cool. I get about three bites into mine when the same server comes over and says, about my burger, "that burger bun isn't gluten-free!" She whisked my food away again. Comes back a third time with a burger with a gluten-free bun. Of course about half an hour later, I have to go use the bathroom. See the server in the hallway, and thank her for taking care of our food. We have a whole conversation in which it turns out she whisked the fries away because of fryer contamination rather than actual flour on the potatoes. A question or warning about that would've been enough. In addition, had she just simply left our burgers with a warning, I wouldn't have gotten glutened. (We seem to be okay with fryers) I requested that they either don't offer gluten free foods or that they know how they work and train the servers accordingly. Her response was, "they're just kids." If they're working in a restaurant, they need to know allergy issues. And they need proper training. The burgers were very good, but know what you're in for.and consider getting there early enough to order so that the movie doesn't distract from communicating with your server. So, yes, they have gluten-free food, but they don't necessarily know what they're doing.
Place was a lot of fun. Burgers were definitely good with their gf buns!
No
Nothing available that is gluten free. The server was very nice to inquire about grilled chicken but told me it is prepared with other foods that contain gluten. They say that their pizza crust and hamburger bun is semi gluten free…. What does that mean?? Too risky for those who suffer from celiac or gluten intolerance.

I researched and read beforehand to not order the pizza if I truly needed gluten free. They share pans. I ordered a simple SMG hamburger with a side of fruit and told them it was an “allergy” due to celiac disease. I asked the waiter to inform the kitchen to change gloves. We didn’t have a good experience with our service that Friday night. At first they only brought one of our two identical drinks. Didn’t bring napkin or silverware. Took 20 minutes to get a refill, etc. I was mad I was sick that night because the burger wasn’t even good. It was an Udi’s bun but no condiments and the meat was really dry and overcooked. I definitely wished I wouldn’t have eaten it.

Menu doesn't make gf options clear and server was not super helpful. However gluten free burger bun was best I've had. So soft I had to call the waiter back to double check it was gf. Fried not able to be done in a separate Fryer.

There is not a GF menu, and the waiter was not aware what GF items there were. He mentioned he thought they had GF buns, and when asked, agreed they may have GF pizzas but “sometimes we run out.” Requested to order the nachos ONLY if they were GF, and asked the waiter to confirm with whoever he needed to check with that prepared the food. My family members’ meals were delivered, and not my food. After a while, my husband pushed the seat button several times and a manager came over. My husband explained my food had never arrived, and that I’d attempted to order the nachos if they were GF. The manager immediately confirmed they were NOT GF because of the queso. Assuming that was why my food had never arrived - that upon discovering the item was not GF the original waiter had decided not to put it in but hadn’t returned to tell me - I ordered a salad the manager confirmed was GF. While waiting for the salad, my original nachos were delivered. So, my original order WAS put in and I would’ve eaten it believing it was GF if my husband hadn’t asked why it was delayed and we’d randomly gotten a manager. All to say - probably call ahead or ask to order from someone knowledgeable about the menu.

Staff was super helpful and information. GF bun for sandwiches and burgers and they also have gluten free crust for pizza. Can’t vouch for the latter but the burger was good.
