I love sub zero, I’ve been there loads of times and haven’t had any problems, and they were very good with both my celiac and dairy allergy. However this last time, new people were there and they didn’t speak very good English, I told them about my allergy, and they got fresh scoops but put a waffle cone in it, so I had them remake it, the right way, and they didn’t charge any extra, so I guess that’s good. Luckily I didn’t have a reaction.

They have a great allergy protocol. Wash hands, get toppings from separate containers, use fresh dishes for everything. They also have dairy free options. Was sooo good!

This little ice cream shop is fun with an overwhelming number of options and rigorous celiac/allergy protocol. We reviewed the extensive list of items on the gluten free menu that also indicated dairy, etc. My family member confirmed she was ordering due to Celiac disease and they confirmed it back verbally, told her their protocol and then washed hands, changed gloves, used a clean bowl from a different area, scooped mix-ins from the back with a clean scoop and then reassured her of the steps they had taken to produce a safe result. She is very sensitive (gluten and dairy) and had absolutely no reaction. My only advice is to go when it's slow - the options are so extensive that I appreciated having time without a line to make decisions! If we had been staying in the area I am sure we would have returned every day.

New sanitized, clean bowl for every order. Menu with marked GF options (several). Mixing utensils used clean from new area and kept in cup before/during use in bowl. Mix-in candies grabbed from sealed container in cabinet instead of from front area where all are next to each other. Offered to complete the celiac order first. Had knowledge of celiac and cross contact and able to relay procedures without prompting.
