I saw their $6 foot long (special) sub of the week on TV. Made a point to go get one before the week was over. I skipped my regular noon lunch and went there around 2pm. I was hungry . I ordered the sub of the week. The worker told me that the GF subs are not included in the S.O.T.W. special. So that cost me a couple bucks more for two 6" subs. As he's building my sub he mentions that there's an up-charge for the GF bread. Yada yada that's all I got there and my bill was significantly more than the advertised price on TV. If I wasn't so hungry I would have went somewhere else. There was no "fine print" on the TV commercial nor anything on the menu board about GF subs NOT being part of the sub of the week special. I felt lied to and tricked. The manager on duty didn't care about what I had to say. I will never go back.

They store the ingredients for gluten free sandwiches in a separate refrigerator so no cross contamination should occur. They have a gluten free bread. It's a bit dry but at least it's bread I can eat. The girl working washed her hands really well and put on new gloves.
They still have gluten free bread!! Located near B24. Bread was great. They do a glove change every time, even though I told them I only have a sensitivity and it wasn’t necessary, but they still did it. Then read is wrapped in plastic then microwaved. They will toast it after the meat is on

They have GF bread, and also had a display of GF brownies. The worker stated that she had never served GF bread before. The guy in Gilmer usually opens the package and warms it up in there. That makes the bread more pliable. She just warmed this up outside of the plastic and it was a little crumbly. One time at the Gilmer location they asked me if I wanted it toasted and I said no. They didn't warm it in the plastic first, so it was completely crumbly. So some people know how to do it and some don't. It seems like it should always be warmed up inside the open plastic and if you want it toasted, that would be another round.I posted this for people traveling on Hwy 80. The last time I checked, the Big Sandy location did NOT have GF bread. Gladewater does NOT have GF bread. The last time I checked with some Longview locations they did not have GF bread. The next closest Hwy 80 location in Longview (not too far from Good Shepherd Hospital) never responded to my phone calls, so I can't tell you one way or the other.
Gluten free buns and brownies. They usually ask but if they don't let them know its an allergy and they will clean the counter, scoops, change gloves and make yours on the line by itself. Clean restaurant, drive-thru, and easy to find. I have never gotten sick here. All Redmond Locations have GF buns too!
Staff was great great about using clean knives and changing gloves. The bread was not bad at all. A bit crumby, but I've read if you double toast the sandwich it's much better. It was really fun to enjoy a sub after three years without for my daughter and 7+ for myself.
They have a 6" gluten free sub that is individually packaged. The sub is soft and airy and very good. Most toppings and extras are gluten free. I always get the rotisserie chicken. They are very careful with preparation, only one person makes your sub and they change gloves, get fresh ingredients from the back, and change paper liners. When toasting, they cover it with extra paper and use paper to open and close the toaster door. I've never had a reaction. Kaitlyn is excellent! They also have some chips that are gluten free and apple slices.
This Subway carries gluten free bread. They take extra care preparing the sandwich. They wipe down the surface, change gloves, use a clean knife and use extra paper to cover the common use surface. This extra care really makes a difference and we can honestly say no cross contamination! Yum Yum!
They Can make gluten free salads, But they do come in contact with bread, And they do not change gloves between what they make. Ask for them to change gloves, also not Completely safe because they don't change gloves for the vegetables. so Eat At Your Own Risk I haven't experienced any problems yet They have soup that is totally Gluten and vegan free
They offer sealed GF bread but you really can't be safe from cross contamination in a sub shop
I love Subway's gluten free buns. The upgrade price is $1 per 6 inch bun (I think) and the bread is a great texture and makes for a delicious sandwich. The staff always change their gloves before starting a gf sandwich and are careful to line the toaster tray with paper. Each bun comes individually wrapped and is only opened when they start to make your sandwich. In theory, cross contamination could still happen if crumbs from the regular bread fall into the cooler bins on the sandwich line (meats, cheeses, veggies, etc), but I haven't had a problem yet.
I'm not really a fan of Subway, but it's a nice option to have. The rolls are individually packaged and pre-sliced. Employees at this location are super careful about cross-contamination and advised that the roll is better toasted.
The gluten free bread is now offered in many Subway and they also have salads. Great for takeout lunches!

Almost all subs, with the exception of the meatball and maybe 1 other can be gluten free with the gf bread. They usually ask if it is for diet or allergy. They will change gloves and take precautions. There is a $1 charge for the GF bread. Last I checked, GF bread is not offered at any Longview locations, but I have not asked in a long time.

We have celiac and my daughter is super sensitive. No problems eating here. Tip: have them toast the sandwich, much better that way, otherwise the bread is dry and crumbly. Toasting it makes it soft and moist. Plus no extra charge for the gf bread! 👏
Drove an hour to to get there because they said they had gf not only on website but also reviews. What a surprise we had. employees said they dud not have gf. the one employee said he worked there for 2 years and they never had it. He asked someone in the back he said was the Manager and said no gf. I showed him the website and he said he didn't care what it said. I will never go back!!!!!!! They either need to get their act together (that doesn't help me) or change the website.
The manager is Gluten free consumer and has a lot of knowledge of what is safe for someone who is gluten free and will cater to the special needs of each customer, key point make sure u let the staff know u are gluten free. unfortunately because the facility does bake bread on site they can not be classified celiac friendly.
GF bread and the employee Logan went the extra steps using new gloves and made my sandwich in the back and was very attentive and careful! Great experience!
Gluten free bread , better if you toast it again at home and need to watch and educate employee about how to handle the food.
I will give them a 3 because they did their best in the moment to avoid cross contamination. I Ordered a bacon salad and got awfully sick later:( I think that maybe it would be good to request they bring out fresh ingredients BC I feel like gluten crumbs got into my salad.
My wife Loves the gf sandwiches here, and she's never gotten sick. They always seem very careful about cross-contamination.
The gluten free bread at SUBWAY is amazing!! It is pre packaged so there is no risk with the bread not being gluten free. You should be careful about cross contamination with some of the protein. If you have a severe allergy or celiac I recommend the oven roasted chicken or cold cut combo. Those items have the least chance of cross contamination. The only items that are not gluten free are the meatballs, chicken teriyaki(because of the teriyaki sauce), and the new chicken enchilada.
