Excellent food, fun atmosphere. Everything was gluten free except for 1 gnocchi dish that is prepared in a separate area. The menu regularly changes so make sure to ask if the fryer is gluten free when you visit. They come around with small plates like dim sum. I ate 6 different delicious dishes and felt great the next day.
A melting pot of global Latin cuisine where you can select from a range of dishes from a dim-sum cart wheeled tableside, or large plates, served family style. Executive Chef Victor Mena’s menu focuses on comforting Latin flavors blended with modern cuisine inspired by Latin America, Spain, and Portugal. The menu is almost entirely gluten free, and many offerings are also dairy free.
When we went, the entire menu was gluten-free according to our server. As other reviewers have mentioned, the menu rotates, so I’m not sure if it’s now dedicated GF or if it’s just temporarily fully GF. However, they do serve regular beer. You’ll need to ask what drinks are safe or pick a safe option like wine. However, despite being told everything was gluten-free, the dim sum style of service did not feel confidence-inspiring. I wouldn’t recommend this place for Celiacs if the menu rotates again and includes something with gluten. Make your best judgement call in that scenario. Their website says they take allergies seriously. With that said, that’s why I’m giving this place 4 hearts for safety instead of 5. If it turns out they’re permanently dedicated GF, I’d give it 5. Now for quality and taste, that’s an entirely different story. The food was extremely lacking in seasoning and depth of flavor, and the quality of the ingredients was on par with Chipotle—just a slight tick above cafeteria food. The only dish we enjoyed was the Patatas Bravas. There’s lots of fantastic Latin American food in the Denver area, and this place doesn’t fall into that category. Given the price of everything here, we expected a much better experience, and we won’t be back. So for everything aside from Celiac safety, I’m rating much lower.
Had a great experience here. There was literally one dish that had gluten in it (bread) and they told me they could easily replace it and that all bread was kept in a separate area so no contamination issues. Food was amazing, service was great too. Will definitely go back!
Almost everything is GF even dessert! The arancini was creamy w a smoky sauce- yummy. Loved the patatas bravas and ropa vejeho as well 💞
We only went in for dessert to end the night. It was amazing! Omar, the mod, was very excited to help us from beginning to end. We choose 2 of the 3 desserts to share (we will be back for the almond cake) and they were right on time! No issues after eating the desserts, and can't wait to go back!
Absolutely amazing! One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time (except at their sister restaurant across the street, Work and Class). The dim sum style means you sit down and get food almost immediately. At the time, everything on the menu was gluten free except the buns they served with one of the entrees. You could sub GF tortillas and still get it. They said the fryer was GF and I was able to eat absolutely everything. They ask about allergies right away and write it on the menu that they leave at your table. The fried rice balls were to die for and the flan is a must. The hardest part was choosing what to get. My husband is dairy free and he had tons of choices too. Did not get sick and I am very sensitive.
This place is amazing!! Almost everything is completely gluten free (with the exception of 2 menu items). They assured me the fryer at the time was safe for celiac but it sounds like they sometimes rotate their menu so I would ask just in case. They bring around small plates that you grab dim sum style and everything was so good (they ask about allergies when you sit down). It was a great experience and I was able to try almost everything. Can’t recommend highly enough!
Many items on the menu are labeled gf, but they do not have a dedicated fryer so if you are Celiac please speak with your waiter and they will help you figure out your options! The ceviche (without tortilla chips) and Spanish rice were both delicious, as was the Mexican chocolate cheesecake.
