So it is hit and miss here. Sometimes I can eat here and not have any issues and other times, I am sick for days after eating here. I hadn’t been there for a couple years because of gluten exposure but went back and tried it. I had three good experiences but then I ate there this week, and within 12 hours I was celiac sick. They have gfree options but not on the menu, you have to ask what you can and cannot have. I made it extremely clear, numerous times, I couldn’t do any gluten and the server then brings some of our food and says so this has gluten, is that ok? 🙄😳 Umm, no. I don’t think I’ll be back for awhile as sick as I got.

We were not impressed. The rolls were tiny and the gluten free options for sushi rolls were extremely limited. Almost everything was fried or had unagi sauce. Their fish eggs had gluten too, so be careful. They did have real crab, and our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful, otherwise I think we would have left before ordering. I would not recommend the sea urchin. Their house smoked salmon was not very good either. The salmon and tuna rolls were yummy, and we ordered spicy mayo on the side, which gave us some more options. They did work with us on substitutions, but overall the whole experience was stressful and not at all enjoyable. The atmosphere was quite loud and the hostess/water refiller was not very nice. I really wish we would have gone somewhere else. I would not recommend this place if you are gluten free. If everyone else in your party is not gluten free and they choose this place, you can make it work. We do have a really good celiac friendly sushi place where we live, so our expectations might be a little high.

Great food and decent priced as well. They were able to make some rolls that were gluten free but I’m not sure if they have a dedicated fryer for the GF fried rolls

Great experience! The wait staff was knowledgeable and asked questions where they were not sure. They use REAL crab as opposed to the fake stuff that contains wheat. They can do almost any roll gluten free, beware though that they do not have a dedicated fryer, so while they can do a gluten free vegan roll, avoid if you’re celiac. Evenings are definitely busy, so make sure you make reservations ahead of time. Fantastic sushi and didn’t get sick!

OMG! Yummy and they had crem brulee. Bonus points for the dessert alone.

Based on the previous reviews, I felt confident in trying out Syringa without needing to ask a dozen questions. The waiter was very knowledgable and accommodating. This is the first place in eight years since diagnosis that asked upfront if I was celiac, because they wanted to be sure they took the extra precautions.
I got the Las Vegas Roll, which they didn't bread in panko or deep fry to keep it GF for me. It was amazing! Definitely have been craving it for a week since we went in.
The waiter was great, but the rest of the staff we interacted with was a bit rude. The person who refilled our waters would slam them on the table, and did get our glasses mixed up.

Great fresh sushi! Miso soup is gluten-free. Staff was knowledgeable about which rolls are gf or which can made gf.
