Some tacos e chips doesnt have gluten, but they share the fryer, so isnt actually GF. The waiters have knowledge about the subject and are super caring, and instead chips and dips (because chips have gluten for sharing the fryer) we asked for tortillas, which doesnt go into the fryer
AMAZING GF menu is a printout paper. Ask for manager or staff! I came on Saturday and Javier (manager) is VERY friendly, informative manager! The bartenders, Nick and Jenna are AMAZING! They are very educated in Celiac/gluten free options! Also ask for corn tortillas for tacos or dip into the guacamole. I usually bring my own tortilla chips.
Ask for the paper menu of GF items. Most items labeled as GF on the regular menu are not celiac safe because they don’t have a dedicated GF fryer. I was sad because I was excited to have chips and guac/salsa or yucca fries, but couldn’t enjoy those due to the shared fryer.
I ended up ordering the elote. It had good flavor but was too wet/soggy, in my opinion. I also ordered the carne asada taco and the chicken al pastor taco without the crispy kale (again, fried). Both were delicious, but pricy at $7/taco on a single small corn tortilla each.
The location is super convenient just a block from a very nice beach.
Food was great! Menu was labeled what was gluten free. I got the chopped salad with chicken and it was very good!
I went to this place and they had some GF options available. I had an AMAZING waitress that spoke to the chef about making something that is not “marked” gf, gf. He said yes but when my tray of tacos came out they had fried ingredients on them. After speaking with the waitress the chef told her that he did not make accommodations because he wanted to “teach her a lesson” which was, when something is not marked they will not make accommodations. So they did not take my health into consideration. I DO NOT recommend this place at all. Though, the waitstaff is very kind the chef is not to be trusted.
