Hands down the best tamale I’ve ever had! Wait staff were also very GF conscious when I mentioned I was celiac.

Absolutely loved this place!! I’m very sensitive to cc and did not have any issues at all. Pretty much everything is gluten free except for the burrito. I got the chicken tamale and it was delicious! This place definitely satisfied my craving for Mexican food and I absolutely love that they’re celiac safe!! I definitely recommend and WILL BE COMING BACK!!!
Every time I am in Sedona I make it a point to eat at this family owned quaint restaurant. The food is authentic, delicious, and a special treat for those with celiac like me! Don’t hesitant to visit and support an establishment like this that makes it safe for us celiacs.
This family run restaraunt is owned by Claudia. My husband had gluten and dairy allergies, and it’s hard for him to eat without food trepidation. He had the chicken mole with rice and corn tortillas. (Needed extra tortillas because the servings are large. Omg!)
DELICIOUS food - Claudia said she only makes what she would be comfortable feeding her loved ones. This is cooked with LOVE!
We also had chicken mole burritos with chips, pico, and guacamole. Yuuum! All drool worthy!!
Absolutely wonderful! All but one item on the menu was GF, and the server was knowledgeable. The service was good and friendly, the atmosphere was very fun, and the food came out very quickly! Everything was very authentic and delicious, you absolutely cannot pass up the tamales!
Fantastic tamales! Maybe the best we have ever had. Guacamole is out of this world. Guy Fieri needs to visit this place. My wife is celiac and had no problems at all. We seriously stopped here for a light lunch and ended up taking dinner home with us as well.
Had a lovely time at this gem. Just had to say yes to the homemade tamales. Everything is marked GF and dedicated fryer. Staff is knowledgeable.
Their tamales supremos live up to the name. This is fresh and flavorful home made food. GF items marked on the menu but they still want to know when you order. I'm not that sensitive but I had now issues.
Oh.my.goodness. Charming little cafe (don’t expect fancy!). GREAT food! Nearly the entire menu is GF. Homemade tamales! Sting on the enclosed porch there is a great view of Coffee Pot Rock and some other formations. Can’t say enough good about the place. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Sedona! The only improvement would be to add beers to the menu.
Tamaliza is one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The chicken mole is prepared over 2 days, and the tamales are out of this world. It’s a very modest setting, and a bit pricey, but the quality is worth the cost. Almost the whole menu is GF, and the staff are very knowledgeable.
I would recommend this place to everyone.

Busy little cafe with amazing food. I had the chile relleno, which is served with rice, beans and two corn tortillas. My meal was perfect! My husband, who is not gluten free, had beef enchiladas and loved them. Highly recommend!
I visited Tamaliza in 2020 and came back again this weekend. Prices have increased dramatically! $20 for a single tamale topped with spinach, sauce, guacamole, pickled onions and crème. Tasty and safe.
Okay place with pretty uninspired food. The tortillas are good. A lot of money for what you get. Probably wouldn’t have eaten here if I didn’t have celiac disease. The service was really slow.

We went here because two family members are gluten free. It was amazing. Had the tamale with black beans. The other family members had the no carb plates. Everything was tasty and fresh. Highly recommend.

This casual Mexican place isn’t fully GF but has lots of GF options in the menu and they took a lot of care to make sure everything was safe. Very tasty food and no issues with contamination.
Agree the food is good. However, expensive for the amount of food you get. The vibe of the business/eating area was weird too.

Pretty good. But SO EXPENSIVE for what you get! They put a few topping on a single tamale for the supreme and charge $20 and then you’re still hungry.
I have celiac disease and felt very safe eating here. The food delicious and tasted very authentic. The owner and staff were sweet and accommodating as well.
The food was delicious. Casual and friendly atmosphere. Almost every was gluten-free. I had the tamale supreme and could barely eat it all. I would highly recommend.
This place is amazing! The people are so nice and almost the whole menu is gluten free. We had the chicken tacos, rice, chicken mole tamale, chips and salsa and guacamole and I had the tepache to drink. The tepache my husband wanted to steal it was so good! The chicken mole was very good. My favorite was probably the guacamole. Everything we ate was gluten free! The views while eating were amazing too!
This place is amazing, and everything is GF aside from the burritos that are done on a separate grill. They were a celiac dream. Highly recommend.
Came here in April of this year, and was looking forward to returning on this trip in December 2021. Casual dining atmosphere with only a few tables, but the amazing food packs an outrageous punch! Anything with chicken mole is to die for, but absolutely everything we had was outstanding. Over several days, we had the beef tamales, chicken tamales, chicken mole tamales, chicken mole plate, pork and chicken mole enchiladas, chips and salsa, and on our last trip, we tried all of their tamales - we ordered 10 becausethey are just that good! Other than their burritos, which are marked, everything on their menu is gluten free, and they take care to keep everything gluten free, including changing gloves. Highly recommend the tamales supremo, as the toppings are outstanding! Staff is lovely and friendly, and we would return to Sedona just for this food! Highly recommend!
Solid 4 stars. Good food, but definitely pricey for what you receive. Our meal of 2 veggie tacos and a supreme tamale came out to $36+. We did leave full but it was still not much food. Everything is Gf but the burritos (presumably the wheat tortillas). The woman who took our order did not speak good enough English to answer my questions about preparations but did say that the food would be gluten free. I didn’t think it was amazing, so I probably wouldn’t go back, but there was nothing wrong with it. Overall a satisfying lunch.

Extremely cute place. I asked if the food was GF before ordering. Tasted great but I began to bloat soon after and a few days later have aches, bloating, bad nausea and let’s just say “digestion issues.” Everything else I ate on the trip was packaged and certified, stuff I’d eaten before with no trouble. I believe the restaurant itself is all Gluten Free so I suspect CC from one of the ingredients. 😭

Delicious and fresh! Owner happily let us know everything is gf. Ate lunch here with my celiac husband (very sensitive). He had the tamale supreme with salsa guacamole and chips with zero reaction. Went on a Pink Jeep tour afterwards and his stomach felt great on the super bumpy trail. We will return!
The people were very friendly and everything was delicious! It had that authentic homemade taste that everyone is looking for. My daughter who has Celiac ate everything on her plate! I loved eating carefree of any cros contamination because everything there is organic, homemade, and gluten free!!
My husband and I ate here last week. The tamales were delicious! My husband said it was the best tamale he had ever had in his life!
This place was out of this world! English is not great but foods was totally worth it once we were able to determine there were no tree nuts! This review is late.
Nothing fancy about this place but the food is fantastic and it is all gluten free. Small menu with tamales and some special plates. All fairly priced. Proprietor and son were very nice.
all gf menu, easy to do df. SOOOO DELICIOUS!!! my family ate here twice. probably would have gone a third time but our first day in town was monday when they are closed. Amazing amazing amAzing. if i lived here id go every day.
We ate at their brewery location which only had seven things on the menu. The pork and chicken tamales loaded were yummy and the kids liked the nachos. The street tacos were a little plain for my daughter’s taste, but street tacos aren’t supposed to have much more than Pico on them. Everything was safe to eat!
