Never had an issue before last night. Had a takeout order. GF meal was incorrectly labeled and my wife was given a meal that wasn’t GF. Luckily she only took 2 bites and saw that the meal was veal instead of chicken (they don’t offer a GF veal). But it was obviously too late. She is still sick today.
When I called the manager, the manager made it seem like I was trying to extort her rather than taking responsibility for her kitchen. Would only return OR replace the meal if she sent out her delivery driver to come pick up the meal that was incorrect because “her kitchen said they remembered the order and it’s definitely gluten free”. Had to explain to her that as a fellow restaurant manager and someone with eyes, I know the difference between veal and chicken. Never got a follow up, never got an apology. Just a cold response from a manager who isn’t interested in retaining customers. When my wife has finished throwing up I’ll be looking into taking action and reporting the restaurant.
Been going there for years so I trusted they are careful with GF food. Now I can’t trust them again after being glútened. As usual, I explain I need my food to be GF or I’ll get sick. I ordered a chicken with eggplant dish that I was told could be made GF. I double checked with server food was in fact GF again when it arrived and was reassured. When I got home, I started violently vomiting, my joints began to ache, and I am having a severe reaction to my meal to the point I can’t sleep from the pain I’m experiencing. Worst part is I know this will last for days if not weeks. I had been thinking the establishment has changed ownership, and this confirms my suspicions. Old owners had someone with celiac disease in their family and they were very careful. This was akin to poisoning. Please be very careful if you’re a celiac.
Separate Gluten Free menu. Able to get a personal pizza with any toppings or gluten free pasta with any sauces and add-on’s from the main menu. Other GF options as well.
I ordered a gf pepperoni pizza, gf chicken parm dinner, and gf chocolate cake. I ordered online and put in the notes for each item "celiac/gluten free". The food is DELICIOUS! The pizza was perfect, and the chicken parm was the best I've ever had- and the portion was HUGE! Their sauce is also amazing and they used just the right amount. Definitely worth it! The cake is also a very good flourless type cake which is my favorite. I will definitely be back often!!! Thanks Tarantellas for doing gluten free right!!
Tarantella’s is incredible. They have a dedicated gluten free menu and totally understand the needs of a celiac. My kids and I all had delicious dishes and desserts. The pizza was the best gluten free pizza any of us has ever had. The penne and meatballs was delicious too. The chocolate cake was one of the best gluten free desserts we have ever had. Super attentive service and a great dining experience. We will definitely be back.
The server knew exactly what was gluten free and asked the chef when she wasn’t sure. I had awesome GF chicken parm, a nice house salad, and ended with rice pudding. They had a ton of GF options, including desserts, and all of the meatballs were GF too!
I can't remember the last time I had breaded chicken parm out (used to b my fav dish). I'm thrilled that I can eat it again gluten free!!! House salad is excellent.
My favorite place! The house salad (dressing) and tilapia dish are my favorites. The owner has celiac so they're very aware :)
This place is excellent. One of the owners is gluten free and the staff definitely understands. The veal parm is the best.
