It’s one of my staple go to’s for GF dining. Staff is knowledgeable and aware when presented with the GF allergy warning. Decent amount of menu options for both healthy and comfort food options
We went to Sunday brunch the only option before noon was the buffet. I recommend you wait until noon for menu options. They do have an omelette station that was all gluten free as part of the buffet The chef came out to review what choices were gluten free on the buffet line he was very attentive and was willing to answer questions. That was an added bonus he was really nice. If you trust a buffet line there were several gf options To choose from including the fish and chips
The tater tots are 100% gluten free. I just asked the executive chef.
Had some drinks and and appetizer of the truffle tots. It was cooked in a dedicated frier, but when I asked a manager he said they order the tots and he wasn't sure they were gf, very frustrating.
They had gluten free fried calamari, gluten free buns, gf clam chowder, gf sandwiches etc. It was amazing and had great service!
My 5 year old with Celiac got chicken fingers and French fries. There was nothing left on his plate so they must have been good! There were a few other options from the kids menu that he could have had.
Dedicated fryer, items clearly marked on menu and a lot of options! meal delivered by manager after confirming food allergy at table. Have been here 4x so far without a reaction.
The menu has items that can be modified to be GF marked as such. When we arrived I was shown the GF markings on the menu. We ordered the fried pickles and I notified the server that I had a gluten allergy. Our server stated that “the entire menu was gluten free” which was contradictory to the hostess we were also told that all their bread was gluten free. I was immediately alarmed due to the fact that on the menu an extra charge of $2 is added to substitute gluten free bread. If all of the bread was GF then why would there be an extra charge? We orders 2 sandwiches and I specified that I wanted the GF bread for both to which the waitress again stated that the “all the bread is gluten free”. One thing I do commend the restaurant on is that the manager brings out the GF food. In my case it was a good thing because when our food was brought out I immediately noticed that the two sandwiches had two different types of bread. One was on a gluten free bun and the other was clearly not. When I brought up the matter the manager apologized and took the one sandwich away to fix it. Bottom line is that if you have a severe allergy I would steer clear of this place. Had I took the waitress’s word I would have unknowingly consumed gluten. It’s clear that the waitress was not educated on gluten allergies and was giving out incorrect information. Management handled the situation well and took the time to explain the mistake to the waitress. My hope is that this can be used as a learning experience for the staff on the severity of advertising gluten free options and not being knowledgeable on the topic.
Not sure what happened but my celiac son got sick from eating here tonight. He ordered a gluten free hamburger and the bun was clearly gluten free but he still got sick. They had the manager bring out his food so I wonder if it was cross contamination in the kitchen. Guess we won’t be eating here again.
I live right near this one and have never had any problem at all. I check the reviews and went in and asked them a bunch of questions. They swear that they do have a dedicated fryer, the manager always brings out gluten-free dishes, and I have never gotten sick with a very severe form of celiac.
loved this place server was great and knew all about allergy!! had nachos, chicken tenders, fries, and beer can pesto chicken!!! I will be back and they had Glutenburg beer too!
The staff was knowledgeable about allergies and made accommodations for a dairy allwrgy. Glutem-free and Vegetarian dishes are marked with special symbols on the menu and everything we ordered tasted good! We were happy with the selection, it's not like other places with one or two options total.
They are very helpful and knowledgeable. I ordered the fish and chips not realizing they would leave off the tartar sauce because it contained malt vinegar. I asked for some mayo on the side as a substitute and the waiter was nice enough to mix it with some relish and made me some GF tartar sauce! The only thing they deep fry with gluten is their waffle fries. I was told they give that it's own dedicated fryer so everything else isn't cross contaminated.
I think this place has made some great changes to their GF menu and service protocols. The manager brings out your GF ordered food and confirms the order. They are serious and careful. I've been back twice now and things have really improved. I even tried their fried tortilla chips with guacamole recently. Dedicated fryer. They were great.
Knowledgeable staff and very understanding. They have The best GF clam chowder and I've tried it from other restaurants. Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free. I love the fried pickles. Couldn't be happier when I eat here.
I informed my server I was GF due to Celiac. She was knowledgeable and informed.. stated she would have items prepared in dedicated fryer. The onion rings were on the menu as gf.. I asked about the batter and they were prepared with crushed potato chips. The manager brought out my meal certifying it was prepared gf.
The service was excellent & they were very cautious with making sure to note the Gluten allergy. I did not have any Celiac Disease reactions at all after eating here so I know they are very careful with not cross contaminating. I highly recommend this restaurant!! It was the first time in years I was able to eat onion rings and they were amazing!
They have the best clam chowder!
1. Had gluten free beer! (Glutenberg) Not just cider. Cider is cider, not beer. 2. Tons of GF options- gf buns, gf pizza, gf fried food- all cooked in a separate friolater to keep safe from cross contamination 3. Waitstaff told dedicated manager who made sure he watched and then delivered the food. Food was great! Felt safe and was like everyone else, able to eat just about everything. (Like gluten food didn't even exist.)
I have eaten here several times before games and the staff is always knowledgeable about allergies. They have an extensive GF menu, and can make almost anything GF. They have Udi's buns, pizza crust, beer, and a dedicated fryer. They also have GF onion rings and battered chicken fingers (however these do contain dairy). Since the fryer isn't safe for my dairy allergy, they cook fries and tater tots in the oven for me and they're just as good! I've yet to be disappointed with their food, I highly recommend stopping here!
Easily the best GF menu I've ever had. Probably 30+ options, good food, great service. Even the fried stuff is GF! Poutine, fish n chips, calamari, burgers, etc. Celiac friendly, too. P.S. Manager makes a special appearance when they serve a plate for someone with celiac/allergy to make sure you feel comfortable.
Great experience here! My daughter and I have a gluten and dairy allergy. The waitress was very helpful if she didn't know the answer she had the manager come help us. They were VERY knowledgeable about food allergies and cross contamination. GF rolls were good, burger a little bland. Was able to have onion rings for the first time since I was diagnosed 6 years ago! I'd definitely go back!
