My dtr is celiac. Waiter was knowledgeable & said GF chicken tenders used corn flake batter. Said chicken tenders & fries were cooked in gluten free fryer. Husband had GF chicken sandwich. Allergy items were delivered to table my manager & marked with allergy alert.

Contrary to reviews I don’t think this was safe….
Had fish and chips, was assured safe from cross contamination etc. takeout food came out with an allergy marker.
While eating my legs went entirely numb and the next day I couldn’t stay awake for more than a minute regardless of how much coffee or ADHD medicine was in my system. My reactions tend to be all over the place but this was wild, so I don’t think it’s safe.
Best xx

Gave me regular English muffins instead of gf ones. I thought they tasted funny and asked the manager for help who took it away back into the kitchen and came back out to tell me it was a new type of gf bread and it was ok to keep eating. Landed me in the hospital. This place is no longer safe and food in general has gone downhill.

Staff was knowledgeable about possible cross-contaminations and offered advice on safe menu options. Ordered the BBQ chicken flatbread pizza and had no issues.

I’ve only eaten here twice since being diagnosed with celiac and both times I got the same thing- the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. I didn’t like the GF bun the first time so the second time I ordered it without a bun and saved the extra $3 and it was great.
I love that I can eat fries here and my family is happy. The staff is very reassuring and I trust the kitchen. A little pricey, but what isn’t right now?
Convenient, safe, multiple options.

I have never had a problem here, but after reading some of the comments about the gf fryer, I called the restaurant and they assured me that nothing that is not GF is fried in the GF specific fryer. It may be worth double checking with your server, but I have never had an issue and I’m extremely sensitive. Hope this helps!

This place is not GF. The fryer is not dedicated. They told me only one item fried in it has gluten so it’s safe. I’m not taking that chance. It makes me upset when places put GF on their menu and they are not.
There should be an option on here for menu - GF items are marked but they aren’t actually gluten free.
This is actually for EG but they don’t have a page and it seems to be same story at all locations.

We got appetizers: Southwest Tots, Nachos (Add Chicken), and the Parmesan Fritter. I felt fine, no signs of cross contamination until about 4 hours later. Will not give this restaurant another chance. Pretty sure it was the chips which would match the previous reviews outcome.

The menu shows a tremendous amount of gluten-free options… However, we confirmed that they fry crab Rangoon‘s in the same oil as every other item… So if you have celiac, the only true safe option are the gluten-free pizzas or salads, in regards to appetizers.

Love how accommodating this place is for us gluten free folks! The majority of the menu is gf or can be modified easily. I loved their fish and chips and general Tao chicken, but I don’t think I’ve ever had anything bad there.

My first time going out to dinner in over a year and I really enjoyed it. The menu has changed a bit since the pandemic, but there are still SO MANY gluten free options! I had the Sesame Salmon Bowl, it was delicious. When I told our server I was gluten free she asked if it was "an allergy or a preference". I told her I have Celiac and it was duly noted, my meal was brought out separately and had an allergen flag. No ill effects the next day, so I feel confident they took all necessary precautions.

My new favorite restaurant. GF fish and chips were tasty, crisp, and portion was generous. Also had GF cornflake chicken tenders with sriracha sauce - amazing. Crispy and flavorful. My husband had Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. Lots of chicken, huge potion, and great tasting. He was very satisfied with his regular version. Can’t wait to try many other GF options. I have high expectations.

Came for dinner for the GF pickle chips. The food was very good. We got the pickles, buffalo cauliflower and Brussel spouts. They were all very good. Also got the fish tacos and the Mac and cheese, the tacos were good. The Mac and cheese was good just had the wrong type of GF pasta. They used a lentil pasta which get dried out quickly and when they baked the Mac and cheese it became dry. But it had great flavor.
Overall very happy with the experience and the service.

Have been to other locations of Tavern on the Square, all have been good about the gluten allergy and this one was no exception. Good menu, clearly labeled. The chicken fingers and fries are in a separate fryer (and fish and chips!)...which is always a win with the kids!

So many yummy options for GF. Everything is marked on the menu. I had the pulled pork sandwich on a GF roll. Family enjoyed their meal.
Claims there is no cross-contamination, but seeing as I have gotten sick every time I’ve eaten there, this is not to be believed.
The taste is fine, sure, but each time I’ve eaten there I end up violently ill for days afterwards. NOT SAFE for people with celiac.

Got curbside due to the pandemic. Menu marked with gluten free items. I ordered menu items marked gluten free. Southwest tots, cornflake fried chicken and buffalo cauliflower were the menu items I ate. Either they weren’t prepared gluten free or some of it got contaminated. The night we ordered I had a rash and a migraine but didn’t think it was the food because of the listing of gluten free. I had leftovers the next day and that’s when I knew rash again migraine and my insides were on fire. Not sure how they go about gluten free in the kitchen and precautions to prevent cross contamination. Something went wrong.
Good selection of gluten free on the menu, I felt safe placing an order before having the food and reactions. I have ordered from other places that have marked gluten free items and haven’t had problems.

Love it! Mostly everything is gluten free. Not crazy for the bar atmosphere but food was goodš

My waitress told me she had celiac disease and I could have cried. I got fried pickles, Mac and cheese, and chocolate cake. All gluten free. It came out with an allergy flag in it. They have safe protocols and dedicated fryer. All of it was delicious!

Awesome mac n cheese! And I'll have plenty leftover for breakfast!
Great GF food. Most things are GF for everyone, not just special made. Great Mac and cheese as well as eggplant and chicken parm!! Came two days in a row!

Cannot rave enough about this place! Everything came with allergy sticks to ensure we were kept food safe. We have dairy allergies which they accommodated as well! Enjoyed so many amazing dishes. We had:
Fried pickle chips
Guacamole and chips
Fish tacos
Beef tips
French fries
And all dairy and gluten free!!!!!!!!
The menu is amazing. They even have dishes like general Tso chicken gluten free. Will be returning soon!!!!

Staff knowledgeable about Celiac disease and the GF options. Dedicates fryers for GF fried food, GF pasta and burger buns. I had the General Tso's Chicken, which I love but haven't been able to eat in 15+ years. It was delicious, and big enough portion that I took half home for lunch the next day. I recommend highly, and look forward to going back.
Yes
Great food! Many options and dedicated fryer. My son had tons of options and knowledge staff. Highly recommend!
Awesome fried pickles. Next time - I won’t share! š General Tsao’s Chicken was good (and s bit spicy, as it states), too, except the chicken wasn’t battered and it was overloaded with sesame seeds. However, tempura broccoli - yum!

What an awesome meal! They’re on it! Having celiac disease sucks, they’re so good with allergies they’ve got awesome selection and great taste with no repercussions!!
Lots of options (including on the kids menu and dessert menu), a very conscientious staff and everything I’ve tried is delicious.

Just went there tonight and it was the best gluten free experience that I’ve had in a bit. Dedicated fryer. Very knowledgeable staff !! I would highly recommend this place !!! I had the fish and chips, ( no tarter sauce though ) the fried pickles ( amazing ).

Will definitely return!! Not the largest selection I’ve seen but definitely enough to choose from and totally worth it! Comes marked with an allergy “flag” so you know it was made with care. Staff was knowledgeable. Delicious food. Only downside for some times is that it was rather loud. Okay for this occasion but may not be on others.
Yes
Actually obsessed with this place! So many options. Got a whole spread and shared and it consisted of a gf pizza, buffalo cauliflower, chicken tenders and tater tots. They had allergy labels and the manager came and spoke to me. Definitely going back soon
So awesome the manger came over with my food (Dane) he was great my waitress was great. I had the maple chicken tenders amazing the fridge pickles were the best I ever had

Verified Separate GF Fryer. Daughter was happy with all of the GF options here. Pretty much everything can be made gluten free. She ended up getting French fries and guacamole- both came out with an allergy flag.
