Everything can be made gluten free!! Separate fryer, knowledgeable staff. Felt very comfortable with safety. Food is also delicious, including pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, and other pub food.

Food was great and I didn’t get sick! I did call and the person who answered wasn’t positive about the separate fryer situation so I avoided those things. May go back to confirm on another day.

GF fryer and just about everything can be made GF. Food tasted great and was reasonably priced. It also comes out marked as GF. Definitely recommend!

Had a great meal at Tits tonight, everything is clearly marked on the menu, the gluten free fish and chips were the bomb, and I didn’t get sick! Win win!

Wouldn’t recommend. There’s only a few GF items on the menu. And when I asked a question about the smoked wings I was told they have flour on them. I was a little confused and told the person they are marked as gluten free on the menu and he was like well we haven’t had anyone have an issue before. Not helpful whatsoever sir. I left.

Great tasting food and so many things are GF that aren’t normally at other places. Like the chicken tenders, general Tso chicken, tempura, etc. Clearly marked on menu

I ordered the gluten free fish and chips with the fried pickles as the appetizer. I also have allergy to garlic and onion and they are super accommodating. The staff knows the products and are able to do the proper precautions. Always delicious, I love coming here. I hate to move away!

Have known Tavern for years but before needing to pay attention never would’ve known how great they are for gluten free options. The menu items that are gluten free or can be made so are clearly marked on the menu, and it includes almost everything they have, including burgers, sandwiches, pastas, and some of the best chicken tenders I think I’ve had in my life. Servers all seem knowledgeable and everything ordered gluten-free is marked with the little allergy sticks. If you’re looking for celiac-friendly bar food, this is perfect.
Yes
Amazing selection of GF options on the menu. Didn’t expect this given the sports bar aesthetic but I ordered the chicken pasta with a side of tots under the impression everything fried was GF in a dedicated fryer. The manager Jose came to my table after my order went through to confirm that I was a coeliac and to ensure that the utmost care would be taken to avoid contamination which I was super thankful for! Definitely recommend this place for a hefty pub meal when in Boston!

This used to be Tavern in the square. Now it’s Tavern Allston. Everything fried is gluten free, and it’s good! Heavy pub food, but I’ve seen this place go through so many menus it’s great they finally got it right. We had loaded nachos, gochujang broccoli (also fried which I didn’t realize) and chicken parmigiana. All good. All safe.

Been coming here for a couple years now. By far the best sports bar for celiacs. I've brought so many friends and family here (especially out of town visitors). They clear their surfaces of gluten for preparation, the manager comes out to let you know about their procedure, and the food is great!
Yes
I have eaten many dishes here and haven’t gotten sick- I am very sensitive. They recently changed their ability to accommodate and make all fried foods with rice flour! One of the only places I feel safe ordering fried chicken and French fries!
Yes
Went for dinner with a group and highly recommend. Nachos, calamari, kids chicken fingers, very nice “Greek” salad. So nice to have good fried chicken (!) and the salad was very good, albeit not an authentic Greek salad.
Yes
I've eaten at this location a few times (and other tavern in the square locations) they take celiac very seriously. Burgers are great dedicated fryer and boneless tenders. Definitely worth the drive
Yes
I ate all the fried things. Pickles were a good deal. Calamari was as good as I remember when I could eat non gf! I had a glutenburg IPA and was so happy when they didn't pour it in a pint glass (beer glasses at bars seem to poison me)!

Super knowledgeable staff, dedicated fryer, extensive gluten free menu. Great service, great atmosphere, great food. Would highly recommend!

Great pub style food. It's awesome to get a burger and fries and not worry about cross contamination! They have a dedicated fryer and are very aware of celiac.
Yes
Great time lastnight! Was able to have the Cobb salad, and was able to talk to the manager about cooking process to ensure their would be no cross contamination! I'd recommend!
Yes
Staff is very knowledgeable and careful. They clearly have policies and procedures in place to keep food safe. Management is proactively aware of allergies, delivered my meal, and discussed cooking process.

I had read all the great reviews saying this place was celiac friendly and was excited to eat some normal bar food. Unfortunately, I got extremely sick after eating here. I would not return or recommend to anyone with celiac.
No
This restaurant was the best celiac friendly restaurant I have ever been in and the food was delicious!!

Great food and I didn't get sick afterwards! I would totally come back here!.

If you have celiac and miss bar style food, this place is the best. No cross-contamination, and tons of good fried options.

I went for brunch and the staff was excellent! Very well informed and the manager even introduced me to the head chef and he brought me around the buffet to point out every item that was gluten free. So considerate. The head chef said that for future brunches they will mark all gluten free options with a sign. I would highly recommend coming here if you love brunch!

Always amazing about our allergies. I'm allergic to milk and my husband is celiac. He's never gotten sick and the menu has so many great options for him.

great selection and always so good

Manager came right over after I mentioned celiac, explained that he already told the kitchen. And brought out the food. Happened both times I have eaten there. Great food and atmosphere
Great gluten free menu with a lot of options, including burgers. They also have several ciders, including one I'd never heard of....I forget the name of it, but it was delicious! The manager also came over to verify whether my gluten free meal was for an allergy or preference, which was nice.
Yes
It's great to finally find somewhere that serves gluten free bar food! I went to watch a game and tried the pizza, which was amazing. Spinach and artichoke dip was great too!
I always have a good meal here and they have bread. The managers even bring out your food and are knowledgable.
Yes
This place has a pretty good gluten free menu. They even have gluten free rolls that they put the sandwiches on. The first time we went they were out of the gf au jous for my French dip. The second time around they were out of the cranberry chipotle chutney for my boyfriend's burger. Other than missing condiments, it's a pretty good place.
I spoke with the manager before eating here because of the mixed reviews. She does not recommend anything on the grill because buns are placed on it. Does not recommend pizza. Shared areas. Anything fried is fine. I had a ceasar salad.

Food was good and I felt fine but small portions for how expensive. 6 wings was $16 I definitely can’t say I’d go back unless a large group was set on it.

I don’t know who wrote this place has a gluten free clam chowder but they were wrong. They do not have any soups here.
Other than that this place is actually great for anyone with a sensitivity to gluten with almost all their menu items being gluten free and most of the non gluten free can be made gluten free if you really want!
Great option but again NO CLAM CHOWDER so fix that on menu items. I don’t appreciate the lie
