Excellent experience. Anything NOT gluten free is indicated on the menu. Most of the menu is GF. Had the calamari. It was great as well as the fried fish taco.

Went here twice this week. Both my allergy was confused. One time I got the “gluten free” toothpick but it obviously was not (they gave me Thai noodle salad which was the only salad marked NOT gluten free. The waitress indicated gluten free to the chef who was trained and they claimed they weren’t sure how that got through). The other time someone else in my party got the “gluten free” toothpick in their food and I didn’t notice they didn’t put one in mine and the other person in my party mentioned it so I caught it before I ate. As with before they weren’t sure how they messed it up

Went there for my birthday and asked if the steak tips were able to be made safely gluten free. Server assured me they could be and could be made in a new pan safe from cross contamination. “They do it all the times” Within an hour I was puking and down for a week. I also received the incorrect sides and was not informed. When I received the correct side it didn’t come labeled gluten free; It ruined my birthday night I had to leave early. I’ve also been there on a previous occasion where a runner delivered my food and wasn’t sure if it was gluten free and then said yes. Turns out it was not he handed me the correct burger. The newer kitchen staff does not care. And I have heard that from previous employees. Very frustrating.

Server was knowledgeable and very accommodating to my daughter. The manger delivered the food and my daughter had no reaction at all! They had a dedicated fryer so she was able to enjoy fired scallops and fries! Would definitely recommend!

The food here was pretty good. I got a fried fish sandwich and onion rings. I was very impressed with the options, as they could make nearly anything gluten free. They also had options for gluten free desserts, and I didn’t get sick at all from eating here. The server was also very friendly and polite. Generally, I had a very positive experience here!

There are so many gluten free options they menu shows what can’t be made gluten free. They said they have dedicated work station for gf - manager had to bring out and it had gf markers in the gf food. The Loaded tater tots were particularly delicious. Huge portion of gf chicken fingers. Didn’t try the pizza but they said it was made at separate station. Had sweet potato fries and fries too!!! Burger had udis bun so safe. Waitress was so attentive and smart. Great experience!

My partner who is celiac and I came here for our first meal on vacation in Massachusetts. It hit the spot! The woman who seated us explained how they’re able to recreate nearly every dish on the menu to be gluten free. My boyfriend devoured his burger. If we could come back again, we would!

Wonderful experience at Tavern on the Wharf in Plymouth. Our waitress, Gabby, was knowledgeable about GF cross-contamination, and took the time to make sure my GF meal was prepared correctly. I had a GF side salad to start. My entree was, GF Seared Scallops, GF tater tots and GF broccolini. Everything was cooked perfectly. This was not my first time eating here, and it won't be my last, especially sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful weather and ocean bay views.

Had quite a confusing experience here. I have celiac and cannot do cross contamination. Came here due to reviews of the gluten free options. Waitress was not super understanding of gluten/cross contamination. Said they have gluten free flyers but the oil filters are shared? Nothing going in the fryer I guess is safe. No home fries for breakfast no fried food. Ended up ordering an omelette asked for no home fries due to cross contamination, meal came out with the home fries on it and got serious attitude from the food runner from annoyance. He went into the kitchen and just took off all the home fries that were touching the omelette. Send back the meal.

Super disappointing..won’t be going back. Not super busy but tacos did not come out as described on the menu. No cojita cheese, no crema, no avocado and the tacos were not even warm. My friend’s meal was cold. We sat at the bar and were not asked how our meals were. Over priced for portions and quality of meal. Probably should have said something.

There are many GF options and the menu is marked, but it's odd that their latest menu marks the items that CANNOT be made gluten free with a symbol that looks like it denotes GF items (a "no wheat" symbol). I'm sure many people have gotten sick due to this confusion! It looks like those are the GF items, but in fact those are the ones that do contain gluten. Very confusing. But staff seems knowledgeable and food is tasty.

Very seldom do I get on here to rate a restaurant. Feel obligated to do it now since I was puking, etc. for a few hours last night. As I started to feel nauseous, I realized that my intuition was correct, which is that this is not a safe place for someone who is gluten-free. It wasn’t real busy, and I politely communicated that I have a celiac/gluten allergy, and I also asked and then confirmed based on what my waitress said…that they avoid contamination.
Come to find out after she served my burger on a brioche bun, which had the allergy stick in it. I called to ask about the bun with the slits on the top and whether it is gluten-free and the guy who apparently is the manager told me yes. After a little while, when I knew I was going to get sick, I called back and spoke to the same person, the manager, who changed his tone, and then acknowledged that that may not have been gluten-free the one with the slit on the top.
I wasn’t upset at the waitress, but I did let him know who it was (she had a unique hair color), and initially he seemed incredulous, saying the whole staff is very well trained and this sort of thing wouldn’t happen.

Finally got a chance to have lunch at Tavern on the Wharf in Plymouth. Two of us have Celiac and I have a gluten sensitivity.
So many gluten free choices and the service was outstanding! We had the fried fish sandwich (without the bread but gluten free rolls are available), lobster BLT tacos (soft corn) with tater tots, and the lobster grilled cheese sandwich with tater tots. We started with an order of the fried pickles but those disappeared so fast I couldn’t get a picture! Highly recommend!

This was my second visit to Tavern on the Wharf and both have been good experiences. I have a gluten allergy and can be very uncomfortable if I am “glutenized “. Servers are very knowledgeable and careful. I will definitely go back again. We had the fried seafood platter. No issues.

Ordered gluten free Buffalo tenders. Was assured they could be made gluten free and were fried separately… only to start having an anaphylactic reaction 10 minutes later. Father in law finds the manager who says they messed up and brought the wrong food. Nothing like spending the night in the emergency room instead of a nice family outing. Restaurant was busy and 8:30 at night, but that’s still no excuse.
