I came in on a Saturday during the breakfast/brunch. All of the buffet was labeled as if the food was gf, vegan, or had common allergens such as dairy or nuts.
It has great atmosphere and very friendly/helpful staff. Definitely a business casual energy, but everyone seems to be welcome.

In town visiting Ithaca to tour colleges. Had dinner with my family two nights. Excellent staff. Delicious food. Very accommodating and felt safe. Had g free bread. First night, had potato purée and Brussels sprouts. Second night, had g free penne in a red sauce with peas. Did not get sick either night. SO pleased!!!! Thumbs up.

The buffet was delicious & labeled so clearly! There were so many options, I felt so spoiled. Yum!

Knowledgeable staff. Every item at the buffet has a slip of paper with the name of the item, and a list of all common allergens. They then took a red pen and checked the box next to an allergen to indicate that the food item contains it.

Had many options on the menu that could be prepared GF. Even brought GF bread to the table with reg bread prior to meal.
Our family ate several times at Taverna Banfi recently, with our celiac son. While they do not have a GF menu, we spoke with the executive chef and it was clear the hotel is knowledgeable about allergies and cross contamination and the staff treated our requests with an appropriate level of seriousness. We felt comfortable and we did not have any issues. Room service was similarly successful (although we did place our orders in person rather than over the phone to be on the safe side). Hotel is not too large or busy as some can be and we were very pleased with the dining. As with many places a balance between advocacy and being respectful and appreciative of the staff's efforts seemed to work well.
