Gluten free pizza was delicious
Was delicious appetizers, ordered gluten free pasta and the waiter confirmed, was so excited to get it! I dug in straight away and it was so good that when the waiter came by I said: "this is amazing, I can't believe it's gluten free!" The waiter looked down and a mortified look slowly spread over his face, I dropped my fork, halfway through a bite, and he said: "thats...not gluten free."
Apparently he forgot to enter it on the ticket. He was extremely apologetic and management was also extremely apologetic, gave us gift cards, comped the meal, but the gift card is still sitting on our shelf 8 months later.
Be wary, though the food was amazing, stick with the appetizers. Trust no one.

Sadly NOT a safe establishment despite the nice menu. I ordered a GF pizza, which waitress confirmed/repeated back. Halfway through eating it, waitress realizes it wasn’t a GF one. I haven’t had more than accidental bite/crumb in years, so of course I got very sick.
I hate to discourage any place from serving GF options, but if they’re going to, they should probably implement some kind of system for food that has a direct non-GF equivalent (like checking it before serving, labeling it, plating it differently, etc.)

Cozy Italian restaurant. ‘GF’ was marked at the menucard to show the glutenfree options. Had the salmon and some homemade gelato - very delicious.

I had the scallops which are natural gluten free, and they prepare it in a separate part of the kitchen when you tell them you have celiac disease. No reaction at all and it was delicious.

Gluten free items listed right on menu. Very good. I had butternut squash soup which was delish and steak with truffle fries. Very yum. The best was the pumpkin flan. Staff very friendly. Knew right away what was appropriate for me to eat.

Was extremely surprised with how much I enjoyed Taverna! 75% of their menu is GF or can be made GF. Menu is simple and has the notations needed. I got the Hanger Steak and it was one of the best “out to eat” meals I’ve had in a long time (and my husband is a chef, so I’ve got high standards!). I originally was worried simply based on price, but was pleasantly surprised and happy to eat every bite on my plate!!

Amazing gf options and very accommodating. I was in the mood for blackened chicken pasta and Alfredo sauce (not on the menu) but they made it. It was amazing. Gf pasta was soft not hard.
I cannot say enough good things. I Nima tested my appetizer, main course and dessert.....all came back no gluten found! A day later and I have had no reaction other than being delighted to finally have a nutritious meal on my trip. Our server, Brad, is extremely knowledgeable and consulted with the chef on everything. The chef went out of his way to make sure I had a pleasant experience. Taverna is a fantastic restaurant for everyone but a treasure for those of us with celiac.

This has consistently been one of my favorite places to eat because the GF options are so varied. That said, on Saturday I tried to order the patatas bravas appetizer (clearly marked GF on the menu) from a server who also happened to be a dietitian, and he let me know that they’re not actually gluten free because the restaurant uses a shared fryer. I enjoyed the antipasto salad instead, but I’m a little shaken by the misleading labeling.
DELISH!! Knowledgeable staff and good options to pick from. There is a nice atmosphere here with great service and bar as well
