Texas Jacks Barbecue

Nothing is marked GF on the menu, but my waitress was very knowledgeable! I got the 2 meat combo (chicken and beef brisket) and it came with 2 sides so I chose the baked beans and the Mexican street corn. The waitress said both BBQ sauces were GF. I had no reaction after eating here!

This could have been a disaster, but it all ended up okay in the end.

We went on a Friday night around 8 for dinner. Our waitress seemed newer and while she initially seemed to know what was GF and not after I told her I had a “gluten allergy” and asked her to walk me through the memo, when I asked about the potato salad she wasn’t sure. She said she’d check, and brought out our drinks. Then…she disappeared from serving us. A new server came out and said “(name) had to go, I’ll be taking care of you.” But she didn’t have to go….she was in the restaurant the rest of the time she was there. The new server didn’t appear to have been told about my gluten allergy, and when I informed him and tried to order, he told me that both the sides I intended to order (baked beans and Brussels sprouts) were NOT gluten free, which is the opposite of what the waitress said. Out of caution I asked him to double check everything was safe with the chef. I did not get sick and the meat was great, but the experience was not a very fun one. Also — they did confirm the potato salad as GF and thank goodness bc it was DELICIOUS.

The wait staff were very knowledgeable about cross contamination. He pointed out several items I shouldn’t order and told me everything else was GF. It’s not marked by n the menu but most of everything on the menu is GF and delicious!

Ordered the pulled pork shoulder and the mixed greens salad. Food was delicious and staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free questions.

No gluten free or indicated menu was offered, but the wait staff was happy to point out what was gluten feee on the menu. And when I ordered the tacos (corn tortillas), she told me that they were at risk for cross-contact so encouraged me to order something else.

Awesome food and the waiter was very knowledgeable on what foods contained Gluten. Made great recommendations and most items on the menu are gluten free. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Most meats are GF but smoked wings are fried in a commingled fryer. Staff are very knowledgeable.

The staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free options. Most items are gluten free. The bbq was outstanding!!! As were the sides. Will definitely be back!

The staff was very knowledgeable. They have menus that distinguish what is gluten free. Some menus differ, but if you ask for one they do have them! Really delicious and will go back

All of the barbecue items are gluten free. They have gluten free side dishes that pair well with the delicious meats. It’s one of my safe places to eat really good meat. The brisket is my favorite.
