This is my 2nd time there, and it was worse than the first. Last time I had a GF bun. The menu said they don't have buns anymore. I ordered a half rack of ribs, which was good. I asked the server if the fries and coleslaw were GF. She said "obviously the fries are because it's a starch" and then she said "but everything is cooked with everything" so it truly is gluten sensitive and not GF. As a celiac, that made me feel like I couldn't have anything there...and just because it's a starch doesn't mean it's GF...the seasoning on the fries could be troublesome.
I don't trust the servers, and the GF menu has become GS, and they have fewer options, and they don't pay much attention to CC.
I won't be going there again or to any other TGIFs in the country.
2 stars instead of 1 because the food tasted good and I didn't get sick, luckily. But I'd be rolling the dice by going back.
Their gluten sensitive menu just came out in the past couple of weeks. I had the Jack Daniel's burger for dinner with mashed potatoes and asked that I have the gluten free bun instead of the regular. From what I have found Jack Daniel's sauce is pretty much gluten free from what people have found. I didn't have any reactions with my sensitivity. They have on the regular menu a symbol for the gluten free items but you can ask for their gluten sensitive menu as well which makes it easier to find the gluten free meals at a glance instead of hunting them down on the bigger menu.
I didn’t get sick, but despite ordering a GF bun on my burger and stressing that I needed to be gluten-free, I was served my burger on a pile of unsafe French Fries. The waiter then walked away, forcing me to flag her down to confirm that I could not, in fact, eat those.
I ate the burger anyway, and they brought me a side of broccoli on the house, but it was definitely a stressful experience.
If you keep walking down the gates of Concourse C, there’s a Shake Shack that has (as of this writing) fewer, but better reviews.
