Most of the Thai Dishes that I could see on the menu were gluten-free naturally as most were rice/rice noodle dishes. So delicious and packed with meat, tofu, and veggies! I am not diagnosed but I am very sensitive and I do not have a problem eating here.
I love Thai Express and the location in Airdrie is especially good at keeping me safe. I’m a very sensitive celiac. They have lots of gluten free options and dairy free. My favorite is the chicken pad Thai.
It’s VERY IMPORTANT to tell them you are gluten free because they modify the ingredients to keep you safe. For example, the tofu is fried with cross contamination so they leave that out, and they switch to a special gluten free sauce.
They have rice noodles and 2 gluten free sauces. I usually do the Pad See Ew, which is very good.
They only have one sauce that if gluten free so no matter what you get, it'll be a sweet and sour sauce.
I kept getting sick eating from here. I found out they cook every dish whether gluten free or not in the same wok. Thai Express is NOT celiac friendly.
