When I order curries I ask them to use gluten free soy sauce and they comply. They will tell you which dishes cannot be gluten free. There is no dairy in their dishes. The portions are small but tasty.
— No gluten-free information on the menu
Save yourself the lousy meal and drive down to Spice & Dice Thai restaurant ( which is a million times better!). Only pad Thai was offered at Thai One On as GF. It came with old shrimp and mediocre everything else. Service was terrible and the place was dirty.
When asked, waiter said their curry contains fish sauce that might have gluten. (Might? Could they check so they knew for sure? He didn't offer, and I didn't ask. In my experience with places that are GF aware, they avoid using fish sauce with gluten.) Thai One On says the only thing they can guarantee GF is the pad Thai. I ordered their pad Thai; it was too dry, and although I ordered shrimp, there was much more tofu (big chunks, too) than shrimp in the dish. I don't dislike tofu, but its dominance in a dry pad Thai was unwelcome. Service very slow at lunch - we overran our hour lunch significantly, and had to wait an additional 15 minutes to get and pay the check. Would not recommend.
Service was slow... Was told that They don't have a GF menu but that the Pad Thai should be safe for me. Food was good.
Thai One On is located near downtown Towson and has great outdoor seating (weather permitting). While the waiter seemed confused as to what was gluten/dairy free, the chef confirmed that the pad Thai, curries, and the pad pik sod. I opted for the green curry with brown rice which came in a generous portion and was very good. Read my full review on my blog: http://www.eatingoutwithout.com/2014/09/thai-one-on-review.html
Fantastic food and chef accommodates gluten free on most menu options.
