The place has a large gf menu but was not at all knowledgeable about cross contact. The counter staff were teenagers, so they may just not have been educated about Celiac, but management should provide better training if the shop is going to market so heavily to gf customers. They do clearly state that the kitchen contains gluten. When I told them I had celiac disease, they didn’t seem to know what that was and got irritated by my question about separate vs shared prep space—I would not at all have minded if they nicely told me they couldn’t accommodate my needs, but they seemed confused and annoyed when I asked about shared surfaces and wouldn’t give me a straight answer. Finally, after asking 3 different people, they said that sandwiches are all made on the same surface but didn’t offer to clean it or change gloves, so I just didn’t order that. Baked goods are made on clean pans but at the same time as all the other stuff and stored right next to each other in the same display case. Coffee was good and I decided to try a cupcake since I felt awkward not ordering anything, didn’t have a reaction thankfully so baked goods may be safe! All in all not a good experience for a place that boasts such a large gf menu.

Amazing gluten free cupcakes! They also have gluten free cookies, coconut bites, and brownie and pumpkin bites. There are a few gf pre-made salad options. The kitchen isn't gf but I haven't had issues with cross contamination. They serve Stumptown coffee. Definitely worth going to!
