There’s a small sign next to the register that has a menu of the 4-5 gluten free burgers and sides (kettle chips, house salad, etc.) which is helpful when ordering. Not a wide variety but for a burger place, it’s a good variety. I miss the fries something fierce though as those are not gluten free but all in all, it’s pretty good.
delicious burgers with GF buns!
Hamburgers include a Jensen's Bakery gluten free bun for an additional $1.29
Lots of gf options, and if you're not celiac, they can serve you unseasoned fries. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and reffered some questions to the kitchen to double check on some items. My burger was delicious
Heads up: I went in for a drink today, and I got glutened by a cider from the tap. I’m not sure how it happened, so I won’t speculate, but I wanted to leave a warning for others.
I think it’s helpful to have review that are not 3 years old.. I have celiac and eat here once in awhile .. the burgers are good and they now have better gf buns than they used to.. The staff is well versed in allergies.. so I’ve not ever had any problem here.. no fries or sauces other than catsup for me...
I've given them three chances being so close to my new neighborhood. Service is indifferent to outright rude. They treated my dietary requests as an inconvenience rather than as a "new to the neighborhood valued customer". Don't waste your time or money.
They have the ingredients and ability to make GREAT GF burgers and especially burger bowls but choose not to. Their loss. We used to eat there regularly but haven't more than 3x in the two years since removing gluten from my diet. You can't get a burger with bacon (no cheese, no bun), avocado, pickles, onion, tomato and mayo on lettuce without being additionally charged for multiple items. It's ridiculous! 99% of the time there is 25% less food on my plate than my husband who is paying half the price. Last resort maybe but it's not someplace we willing go to anymore. And as someone else pointed out the waitstaff is completely lacking in basic understanding of where and what gluten comes from. So if you ask about a sauce, you are gambling.
Super small menu for GF, waitress didn't even seem to know and just said oh I'm sorry, we can't guarantee there is no cross contamination. Bummer. So I didn't eat there. I did before I knew I wasCeliac, it was delicious, but too bad they don't cater to cf.
One of the hostesses is also Celiac and explained how they safely cook. The Udi bun rocked my world and I really enjoyed the California Bacon Cheeseburger and salad. Fantastic food, no adverse reaction.
I have eaten at the Blazing Onion several times at different locations. While they do offer a gluten free bun you can't have anything with your burger other than Salt and Vinegar chips (yuck) or salad. Twice I had the salad and once it was wilted and the other time it was frozen with ice in it. At one of their other location they brought me a salad that had croutons on it. I asked them to bring me another salad. The girl picked off the croutons and brought it back. I could still see the crumbs on the salad so I asked another person who worked there to bring me a new salad. The first girl came back and yelled at me and brought me the same salad again. I emailed the owners but never got a reply. I will NEVER go back to any of the Blazing Onion locations ever again.
They say they serve gluten free burgers but what they don't say is the chips they serve are made in a factory that also processes wheat. If a Restaurant is going to provide GF options, they need to make sure it is safe to eat. After getting really sick, we called and the Snohomish location and didn't even get I'm sorry, we will correct the problem... nothing... very bad service
GF menu is a burger only. Bun was REALLY dry. Original bun ingredients had dairy & soy but the manager was helpful w/providing food label for the new Udi's bun (I have dairy allergies too) which is dairy free.
GFCF diet. Got sick there twice. I came back after the first time due to the owner convincing me they changed their training to be more aware. That was not the case. Cross contamination! To top it off, others food was cold. I will never eat there again.
new Udi buns that are THICK but they don't fall apart like the others. They only have 3 GF burgers but still not too bad and you feel like you get a REAL burger. Cashier was very knowledgeable about even the Ice Cream/milkshakes
Their selection of gf products is slim. The waiter seems helpful but does not have knowledge of their gf line. I can't even have their veggie burger which is house made! They should also be two dollar signs because you would have to pay the normal cost of the hamburger plus 1.29 for the GF bun and 1.29 for the GF salad (because you can't eat the fries). The total bill could be $15.00+ just for your gluten free meal.
Update: In response to the review that says the GF bun fell apart---I have had the buns here several times now and they have lasted to the last bite EVERY time! In fact, the GF bun held up better than the regular and WW I've had there pre-GF DAYS! ::shrug:: I had an absolutely delicious burger here! The GF bun was from Jensen's Bakery (Better Buns), and if you haven't had one, it has great texture and doesn't crumble through the last bite of your burger. The burger was cooked exactly how I requested and everything we both ordered was tasty and served hot. Couldn't ask for more. Lots of variety for those not into a beef burger---they also burgers made of buffalo, wild boar (yes, really!), vegetarian, black bean, chicken and salmon. If you can have them, the onion rings are awesome.
I hated this place when I was a vegetarian and I still hate it now. I paid eleven dollars for a lettuce wrapped burger with a small bag of chips. It fell apart in my hands because they just gave me two flimsy pieces of romaine. I thought they wouldn't charge me extra for the gluten free option because I didn't get the bun but the cashier didn't understand this when I explained it to him. Might as well go to red robin because they have better food for cheaper and you can get fries.
