I think it depends who you get as a server. I’ve been sometimes where they can make me full on pancakes in a separate pan. Sometimes I’m limited to only omelets. Then sometimes I’m told the kitchen is not safe for celiac. The times I have eaten there I have been ok, so I think some people are not informed.

Decent breakfast, great service
— Gluten-free items are marked on the main menu
We ordered coffee, then when it was time to order food mentioned celiac disease to the server who quickly informed us that they do not use any separate cooking equipment, everything is cross contaminated, and there is no way anything would be safe for us to eat. He very gracefully gave us our coffee on the house and apologized profusely - so A++ for customer service, but no safe options for anyone concerned about cross contact. He even recommended the gf bakery in Monterey.

My son has celiac and they try their best not to cross contaminate. Being able to take my son out to have pancakes or waffles is so nice for him. He said they were delicious. The restaurant is busy and fast passes but the food and friendly staff makes it worth a visit

Was a little sad that they ran out of gluten free bread, but the food was still good! & they do offer a decent amount of gluten free options.. including pancakes and waffles

Staff is SO friendly. Waffle with fresh fruit was great, and the menu was clearly labeled.
They clearly state that cross contamination can be an issue. I’m lucky that I do well as long as it’s not an ingredient....
Need to communicate that you have an “allergy” (what I say) and they will do their best to clean everything.
Absolutely loved the pancakes! Fluffy and wonderful. I added fresh fruit to mine. Also got a side of bacon that was very tasty. Coffee pretty good too.
The staff was so kind and very helpful. This place is open during Covid-19. They are doing curbside pickup only (kind of a drive thru). They bring it out to your car.

I WAS GLUTENED. Lots of gluten free options indicated on the menu. Does state that they do not guarantee GF due to kitchen, waitress warned about cross contamination when roasting the bread. Ordered the corned beef hash and had a reaction after eating.
What a great find! They actually have their breakfast menu clearly labeled with gluten free options, including waffles! The server was very aware of gluten free considerations. For example, she offered me gluten free toast but cautioned me that they don’t have a dedicated toaster. She provided this information without me having to ask. So I just had her warm the bread briefly in the microwave. The omelets here are gigantic and delicious!
Loved it in the past but had a bad reaction last time I ate there.
No
NOT Celiac safe. The petite blonde waitress was so kind, when I asked if their home fries were cooked in a separate GF fryer she explained that all the food is cooked together - GF toast in the regular toaster, eggs on the same griddle as the pancakes. Very disappointed after Find Me GF sent me here to find out the only celiac safe item would be fresh fruit. So grateful the waitress was honest and took my concerns seriously.

The best gluten free waffle I’ve ever had. I’m from the east coast and have lived in philly and nyc and nowhere has compared. Also no upcharge for gluten free. This place is such a cute all American diner

Great food, great service. GF waffles and pancakes.
wonderful and HUGE GF waffles!! Yes please!!
Our server, Holly, was SO wonderful. She recommended the GF Waffle over the pancakes and she was not wrong! The waffle was delicious -- I added bananas, too! I do have celiac and found the staff and kitchen to be very conscientious. Great dining experience.
don't know about the food, when I called I was told that everything is contaminated and even if it's marked gf it isn't it's just for lifestyle not for celiac or allergy
No
Very knowledgeable about gluten free and Celiac. Great food too.
Celtic friendly, gluten-free menu. Good food. Huge potions!

Great place to start the day! I let them know that I have celiac disease & the waiter checked with the cook to make sure that he could make a big pancake for me separate, but they said it would take longer b/c they would use a separate pan for me - I was excited! 5 minutes later I had a plate sized cakey & moist pancake in front of me with fresh strawberries, whip cream, & cinnamon. I almost asked to make sure it was gf b/c it was so good! My friends loved their egg white omelet, Huevos Rancheros, and Bloody Mary's. With an allergy to dairy, a health nut, & a celiac in our group, we were probably a bit high maintenance and had to make a few special requests, but our waiter, Joey, handled everything with a smile on his face & was so nice to us. Honestly I would go here at least once a week if I lived close by. And the best part? NO gluten reaction. At all. Thank you to the reviewer who noted the extra concern for cross contamination due to the diner style of food prep, & busy atmosphere - I drank a full glass of whole milk before my meal as recommended by my nutritionalist for high risk meals, & I was totally fine. Thank you Breakfast Club! You really made our mini-vacay much more enjoyable :D

Excellent place for gluten free - many options - helpful staff!
More than half the breakfast menu had markings for gluten free. The lunch menu didn't have as much marked and we didn't ask about those options. The waitress was knowledgable and no issues ordering. I had the waffle with a side of bacon and haven't had a waffle in over a year! The waffle was delicious, as was the bacon.
This is a great breakfast spot with gluten free pancakes. Like most restaurants, cross contamination can happen. But I have never had a reaction after eating here.
Yes
Had awesome gf banana pancakes with pure maple syrup! So yummy!!
Menu clearly states (in fine print) that if you have celiacs you should not eat here, because they share utensils with gluten.
No
GF pancakes, as well as omelettes and other normally GF breakfast food. Dinner served from 3-9pm. Waitress was also GF and was very informed and conscious. I had a lot to choose from, and the waitress was willing to sub sides for GF alternatives. BIG portions of FANTASTIC food. Pleasant atmosphere. Clearly very popular (with good reason).
