This was our best experience in Vegas this trip. We emailed the concierge before and were assured there would be plenty of choices for us. When we got there, because we had pre paid, we were flagged as Celiac and then got a personal tour from the head Chef of the entire buffet. He pointed out what was safe, what was unsafe and made his favorite GF recommendations to us. I had a Poke Bowl custom made for me. At one point I saw the sous chef carefully reading the ingredients on a bottle of sauce before he added it. That gave me great confidence. We will go back.
Wonderful experience this morning at Wynn buffet once again. I was able to get gluten free crepes. They have a dedicated griddle for this option. I did not have enough of an appetite to order a pizza but they also serve made to order GF pizza. I did get gluten free pancakes. Many items on the menu are gluten free and labeled. The only area they fall short on is desserts but honestly the crepe did that pretty well all on its own.
Hands down the best dining experience ever!! We notified the hostess and they had me go through a personal tour of every single food with the head chef. He asked severity, I’m a level 10 celiac with cross contact. If an item was able to be gluten free with a certain ingredient, I could request it be made (I.e caviar without the wafer) or something that had been used with cross contact tongs. They would pull from behind fresh things. I’ve never eaten so much at a place outside of my home!! I ended the dinner with desserts: gf crepes on a dedicated space, skillet. Service and tour was exceptional, food was amazing. I was able to safely try all sorts of foods I’ve never had. Definitely worth the money!
So good! The chef, Edward, walked me around the entire buffet and pointed out everything that was safe. There are a ton of options and they can custom make dishes for you if you want. Incredible and thank you Edward!!
Amazing experience and great food! The chef will walk you around and show you exactly what’s gluten free and what’s not (as well as likely areas of cross contamination). They can special make many of the items to be gluten free or grab from the back to avoid cross contamination. Chef was very knowledgeable. Separate cooking stations for gluten free requests (pizza, fried rice, crepes)
The absolute best dining experience I have ever had anywhere. The chef came out and walked me through everything I could safely eat and what might be cross contaminated and said they would be happy to get me fresh if need be. Absolutely worth every penny spent. I left feeling extremely full. Highly recommend!!
Such an amazing experience. First time at a buffet eating gluten free and it was definitely worth the money. As others have mentioned, if you say you have an allergy or Celiac they will get a chef to personally walk you through GF items at each station as well as let you know which items can be modified on request to be GF. The food was delicious and it was great to have so many choices.
You want to feel like royalty? Eat here.
We had an incredible experience here. Every staff member was made aware of my allergy. I had my equal eats card ready with my known allergens (celiac so gluten, but also egg, dairy and soy). The head chef personally walked me to every single station telling me specifically what I could and could not have as is and then also how I could ask the staff to prepare for me so I could eat it (little wait time for the personal food, huge save on knowing you’re safe).
After the chef walked me around he stayed close to make sure anything I had ordered specially was carefully handled. I was able to ask for meat from the station and watched the man behind not only change his gloves but also grab brand new meat to cut from!
Pizza, yes folks, gluten free, celiac safe pizza…oh wait did I mention dairy free?!! I could have cried it was SOOOOO incredible.
Desserts, if you have a sweet tooth you options are small, however they are packed with flavor and I was able to have two of the three gelatos, a tapioca pudding and fruit in my second helping of gelato.
Overall, this is a must if you are celiac or have any food allergies. They truly care if you have a good experience and you feel so taken care of. My husband was signing thanks for the staff as well because we don’t get to eat out much; he also was so incredibly impressed by their attention to detail and knowledge of celiacs.
Unbelievable experience. We told the hostess that my daughter has celiac. They called a chef to our table and he toured us through every station explaining what was GF and what wasn’t. When it came time to prepare foods, the station cooks prepared my daughter’s meals in the back safely away from any CC. Highly recommend.
What an amazing experience. Chef Craig walked us through the entire buffet. Explained what we could and couldn’t eat. The food we can eat far out numbered the food we couldn’t eat. Everything was delicious, excellent quality. Even things that weren’t gf were made specifically for us like the truffle pizza and sushi platter. I cannot express enough that if you have a chance to go, go!
This will always be my favorite buffet at the Wynn! We got a chef to walk us through all the options - so many! The breakfast pizza was AMAZING, and made in a separate area, on a dedicated pan. The pancakes were delicious, also made in a separate area on a dedicated pan. We also special ordered the gf eggs Benedict. All the special orders took 10-20 mins which was fine because we started with fruit and granola, eetc. They also have gluten free CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES which were so so good. The only area you can't have anything is the Chinese section which was fine. All in all still my favorite place in Vegas.
I normally avoid buffets cuz of CC but they labeled things nicely here, and I just avoid items that are placed next to gluten items because some people are jerks and use the same serving utensils from one dish to another.
Fresh seafood was pretty safe and so was prosciutto. The cheese weren’t labeled GF, so I didn’t try but they had a black lemon Gouda that looked interesting and wish I could have tried it. None of the sushi had GF marked, but I didn’t ask the waitress. A lot of time they use some vinegar for the rice that has gluten, so I assumed that’s what it was. There were other grilled items that were very much GF.
Overall pretty tasty but expensive and I really didn’t get my moneys worth but lunch time means busy long lines everywhere and we were able to skip the lines here
The chef walked me through everything that I was safe eating. He was very great, the only issue is a lot of the workers don’t know about gluten allergies or don’t speak English that well. I had to repeat myself several times asking about sushi and sorbet to use fresh utensils but they did not seem to communicate well, I decided to avoid all those and the meat station with gravy due to cross contamination.
Had a great experience here! Only problem is there is too much food to actually try everything!
The Head chef for the day Ed walked us around and was very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend doing that because even though many things are labeled GF there are actually more things we can have.
Some highlights:
Prime Rib - so good! Amazingly tender!
The desert bar! - This banana chocolate thing that I thought was amazing (my wife not a fan of mushy banana) chocolate cake perfectly rich, creme brulee of course, a couple pudding things, and thick chocolate chip cookies.
The ribs - were told the ribs were also out of this world. Also have a Cumin allergy so couldn't have those.
CUSTOM PIZZA!
The have a separate oven for making personal size GF pizzas. It was so good!
First time having Caviar which was cool!
Another thing to keep in mind is many things are mostly GF but the last addition of a sauce or cross contamination in the serving area make it not good BUT they are making everything fresh constantly so they are set up to make most things right away without this or that and it was super quick and easy to ask for the variations!
Highly recommend!
Tell the hostess about your allergies and she will have Chef walk you through the line to tell you what to avoid. They can make you gf pancakes , pizza , fried rice etc tell them what u want and they will attempt to accommodate. Good dessert options as well. Most items are marked If they are GF
Wonderful experience. The chef walked me around and showed me everything that was gluten free, even though things were marked. I did choose to stick with the seafood and sliced meat, as there was less chance for cross contamination in these areas because of the way they were set up. For me, the highlight was the desserts!! Most were little individual cups. There were so many try that I used a dinner plate and didn’t get to all of them!! I did not get sick!
Well… not a great experience. I travel a lot and like all celiacs, it can be challenging to get a tasty and safe meal on the road. I’ve been in Vegas for 3 days and so far so good but I pushed my luck a little with the Wynn Buffet. I know, buffets are risky and I usually avoid them but it was 4pm, I hadn’t eaten a thing all day and I was hungry so perhaps my judgment had lapsed, influenced by an empty stomach and the desire to indulge in some Vegas temptations. Well, like splitting 10’s at the blackjack table, I messed up! The chef walked me through the buffet and he seemed confused. He pointed to things marked “gf” and said they weren’t and other things not marked and said they were gluten free. The place was clean but safety was an issue since the serving tables were a little messy. One example of poor planning, they had some gf cookies, but had one set of serving tongs that were shared with other items that weren’t gf and the other items were on a tier ABOVE the cookies…yup, I’m sure cross contamination was inevitable! Not sure what got me but I got “glutenized” and knew within 10 minutes of leaving the table that it wasn’t going to be a good evening! This place is very expensive too so the value equation makes it highly questionable for me in future visits to Las Vegas.
I called them upon seeing good reviews from celiac people on Find me Gluten free. They say it was ok and that the chef would show me every gluten free food, which is exactly what happened. I privileged the gluten free food that did not risk cross contamination meaning in individual portion rather than collective and self-service where the spoon could create potential cross contamination. It was amazing. I could eat lots of things. They even made me a gluten free pizza prepared in a separate area and cooked in a separate oven. Usually same thing for pancakes but they were out of gf pancakes preparation. I had an amazing time, I recommend!
The buffet is very gluten free. The Head Chef’s wife has Celiac so he told me he purposely designed the menu so that she can come and enjoy the buffet safely. An overwhelming majority of items there are gluten free and are clearly labeled. However, confusingly there are more options not labeled that GF that are GF, and also there are options off the menu that are GF like Pizza/EggsBenedict/custom sushi/custom fried rice/pancakes. I recommend asking to speak with the head chef (talk to the hostess) if you go as I’m not sure if there are any seasonal changes, but also to learn about what items are GF that aren’t labeled. The Chef came out, spent about 5-10 minutes walking us through the entire buffet (very friendly and not rushed, he actually seemed excited to show us), he only left us after we felt comfortable knowing how to navigate the buffet. I have gone here once with another friend who is gluten allergy/sensitive and neither had an issue, and I’ve went with someone who is Celiac as well with no issue. Another review mentions shared tongs, there’s only one spot I could think of that happening, but most sections of hot bar with shared tongs will be gluten free since their is the one set of tongs, but the last time I went I remember their being fewer sections with shared tongs.
The chef took time to walk me through the buffet, however, the walk through was very rushed. I felt as if I was being a burden. The chef also kept confusing gluten and lactose intolerance. The actual number of gluten free options was relatively limited for the high price ($50) of the dinner buffet.
I will say I did not get sick and was able to leave mostly satisfied.
WOW is all I can say. When we arrived, our waiter called a chef over who personally walked me through the line. There are so many options! Salad, fruit, yogurt, soups, cheeses, meats, sushi rolls, fish, and they’ll even make you gluten free pizza, ravioli, and pancakes upon request. I stayed away from things I can get anywhere else because there were so many options! They even had MULTIPLE dessert options to choose from. The buffet is pricey, but considering I ate a gluten free pizza, ravioli, and 2 pancakes (among other things)... it more than paid for itself. Yes, it’s a buffet, but they take precautions and each “station” had separate plates, a separate cooking area, etc. This was up there with the best meals I’ve ever had. Definitely worth it.
Good food. Was safe, the only reason I don’t rate a 5 is the walk through was way to fast and I couldn’t remember everything. They should put little tents out stating the allergies. I went during brunch and they told me that’s the best time for celiacs because they have all their lunch food and breakfast out at once. So twice the options. They also offered to make you gluten free items in the back.
Definitely have the chef explain allergens. There were many GF and dairy free options. Even desserts!
The chef gave me a person tour in the entire buffet (which is massive). The knowledge was extensive. I was told I could have anything and everything they had prepared I just had to ask for a gf version. Pizza, pasta, Chinese foods, breads, bagels. Even had their own prep station for gf, AND a separate toaster. It was also lovely to have 3 different dessert options. Highly recommend it.
When I walked in, I told them I needed gluten free due to Celiac and they called for the chef. Chef Kelly came out and walked me around. She said "don't worry, we can handle this and having Celiac just means you get special treatment and food prepared just for you". She was amazing in walking me through every station. They specially prepared a gluten free waffle and blueberry muffin in a separate oven....it was so good I had to question again to make sure it was gluten free. She even brought out a separate bowl of syrup to avoid any cross contamination. Everything was great and she made me feel like being gluten free wasn't an imposition, which is pretty unusual!
The only safe GF buffet on the strip. Go here! Tell a cook you have celiacs, and the head chef will come out and give you a personal walk through of the entire buffet. They make GF ravioli and pizza upon request that is delicious!!! Tons of GF deserts and they are VERY knowledgable about cross contamination. A Vegas must!
Good food for those that can eat gluten. The choices for dinner were limited for me. The chef came out and pointed everything I can eat but the majority of the meats had gluten. No gluten free pasta and I can sure give them an award for the "worst gluten free bread served in a restaurant"
Since I am also allergic to shell fish ...it sure was a waist of $43
The hands down best buffet for Celiacs and GF diets!! The chef Kellie gave me a tour and her staff (special shoutout to George) made me a separate made-to-order GF pizza, waffle, pancake and brownie. Lots of meat selections, omelet bar, and GF pasta made to order too. Just let them know your concerns and they will take AMAZING care of you.
