Review of The Butcher & The Baker

Upon arrival, my wife asks the usual Celiac-friendly questions to determine if it is safe for her to eat here. The server seemed to understand gluten allergies and Celiac, and suggested their gluten free options were NOT SAFE from cross-contamination, as “we are a bakery”. Too bad, but we appreciate the honesty over getting sick and ruining our vacation! We asked if they had any area recommendations, and they responded with “maybe you should eat at home”. Thanks a lot, we never thought of that! Not an uncommon attitude in modern-day Telluride unfortunately – but that doesn’t make it acceptable.
