We have found that gluten free is best for pastry so everything in our bakery is gluten free. Gluten is good for bread, not for cakes!
We don't use any nut products in our bakery either (see our website about that for people with severe allergies).
We make gluten free / vegan items as well for people with dairy and egg allergies. We DO use dairy and eggs in our regular GF items however.
All the beautiful cupcakes, cookies and treats are gluten free!! I came here because my dad was having his 81st birthday and I wanted to share some cupcakes with him! He kept choosing more and more yummy treats and enjoyed every one!
Last year it SUUUUUUKED not to be able to eat cake with my family celebrating my Dad’s 80th B-Day. I’m crazy grateful to have been able to come here with my parents this year!
THE BEST GF CUPCAKES! and newly both locations are now dedicated gluten free! Been eating their baked goods for years from when they had a separate gf location named Swoon. Monkey buns and lemon ricotta tea cakes are some of my favorites. Recently my friend and I tried their chocolate chip cookie and it was incredible!
All of their baked goods are delicious and everyone I know says they taste even better than if they had gluten.
We used The Cake Box for our wedding and could not have been happier. I am celiac and have been a devout Cakebox customer for quite a while now. I couldn’t have imagined our wedding without their gluten free cakes. They were a hit! And they made the process easy from our appointment to discuss our vision, to picking up, and storage instructions. I would absolutely recommend.
I happened to be in the area and saw they have gluten free options so I had to try. It was amazing I tried several cupcake flavors like mocha, red velvet, coconut, and hot chocolate. I also had the monkey bread which was a cinnamon sugar muffin type treat. Everything was delicious. Even my non GF friends said they were amazing
Not Celiac Friendly! Swoon has merged with The Cake Box, which is a regular bakery. They prepare GF items in the same kitchen and bake in the same oven as non gluten free items. Although they say they try to prevent cross-contamination, that really isn’t possible with all the flour that gets in the air and all over everything in a busy bakery. If you are Celiac don’t eat there
Gluten-free and dairy-free cakes that are amazingly indestinguishable from standard. The bread is moist and cakey, and the icing is very sweet and creamy, smooth, soft, good, peaceful, happy. I like it. A lot.
