Actual GF menu, good options. The bun for my Irish burger fell apart (which honestly always makes me feel better bc then I know it's GF LOL). The brownie was good not great. Fries (from a dedicated fryer) were quite good. They do have GF beer, although I didn't have any. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Was it the best I've ever had? No. But it was still a great experience in a lovely building.
A MUST visit if you are Celiac! I told the staff I was celiac and they provided me with a celiac menu. There is a separate fryer for the crisps and GF buns. I got the beef burger and crisps and a Bulmers cider (GF beer and cider options). It was also my birthday so we ordered the peanut butter brownie…. DELICIOUS. Make sure to make a reservation a head and they have a band/ Irish dancers at night.
This was an amazing spot for celiacs. They had a seperate menu with a large selection and the staff was very accommodating. They have a seperate frier so I was able to get their fries. We came here twice on our trip while staying in Dublin because not only is the food amazing but the atmosphere is as well.
Great patio! I tried the Irish stew (good and BIG portion, very filling) and didn’t ask a lot of questions about other menu items, but the server seemed familiar with celiac and brought me a GF menu with lots of options. My friend and I both liked our drinks too! I’d definitely go back. It is a pretty big complex with an outdoor section (garden/patio), a more pub-like indoor section, plus more, in a beautiful converted church. Fun place to stop for a drink and a bite to eat.
Great place for lunch or dinner. They have a separate GF menu and it is delicious. Looks pretty much the same as the gluten menu.
I had a burger and it was delicious and bread was great!
They offer GF beer as well, I tried the ginger one and was really good.
Staff seems knowledgable.
Will def. recommend it and be back when I go to Dublin again!
Ate here this past weekend and had a great experience! I am very sensitive to cross contamination and did not get sick. The server was knowledgeable and I was given a separate celiac menu as well. I had a salad and a burger with chips. The burger bun was so good that I worried that it wasn’t GF! (Though, my husband got a regular burger and it was definitely a different bun.) The atmosphere was amazing and the live music and Irish step dancers were an added bonus.
We had the fries, cheeseburger, and chicken sandwich (all Celiac safe). The atmosphere was fun! The music and dancing were great! The meal wasn’t the absolute best that we had on the trip, but it could’ve been what we ordered. Most importantly, no reaction for the Celiac in our party.
The experience here may have outweighed the food a bit but still pretty good food and a good amount of GF options. I had the lamb stew which was good but a little bland. Also brought me GF bread. Had a delicious GF chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert. This place is very busy and for the best experience book a table. They have live music and dancing every night.
Writing this from the bathroom floor :’). Waiter seemed knowledgeable, actually recommended the gf burger because he’s gluten free and has had it. First burger came out with an onion ring on it, and when I asked he said that he was not sure about the onion ring but the bun was definitely gf. He checked with the kitchen, the onion ring was (obviously) not gf. Took the burger to make a new one. New one came out with a completely different looking bun. He assured me this bun was gluten free despite me saying it was different from the last one - I should have trusted my instincts. Walking out, I realized that either everyone in the restaurant is gf, or I got the poison bun. Ate the entire thing so I can’t wait to see what my next few days look like. Don’t put your life in their hands.
Celiac menu. Fun place to have drinks- historic. -food is fine/good but not amazing.
I was overall pleased with the food options! They have a dedicated fryer. Staff seemed a little frazzled, so I would maybe go doing a less busy time. BUT, I believe I got glutened here because the hard cider that they offer called Rockshore is not celiac safe!!! I couldn’t find any ingredients online (weird) but one site indicated it contained malt.
Coeliac menu available and allergens clearly marked. I was ordering off of the Coeliac menu and ordered one type of salad, then my server came back and told me it was actually not gf, so I’m happy that she caught that for me. I then ordered the prawns and it came out with bread on top. When I double checked with server, she said they gave me the regular meal, not the gf meal. She took it and brought back the correct meal, with gf bread on top. However, I am Coeliac and was sick later that night and all of the next morning/day.
