You can build your own glutenfree burger! they have a seperate glutenfree menu and a dedicated glutenfree fryer. The brussel sprouts were amazing! I felt safe, but I am asymptomatic. Keep in mind that they also work with wheat buns in their kitchen. Prices are really fair, no upcharge for the glutenfree buns.
Ate the custom burger on lettuce. I chose alfalfa sprouts, cucumbers, tomatoes, hard boiled egg, avocado, bacon, and caesar dressing. Everything was delicious! Bacon was crispy. Caesar dressing came on the side. I mixed it all up like a salad. Yum! The burger was perfect. Sweet potato fries were crunchy on the outside and soft inside with the perfect amount of salt.
Seemed aware of gluten issues. Gave me a gf menu when I walked in. I’m very sensitive celiac and didn’t get sick.
Atmosphere was laid back on a late Saturday afternoon.
The waiter asked if I was celiac when I was ordering. They said the fries could be made in a separate fryer. We got the Parmesan Fries which were tasty, only a bit more crunchy than I'd prefer. I had the Chipotle Turkey burger with the gluten free bun (Schar). The burger wasn't anything special, but I was happy to have a safe meal.
Ordered my burger on a GF bun but a regular bun was brought out. I was one bite in before the waiter rushed over apologizing nonstop when realizing I had been given a regular bun. I thought it looked the same as my partner’s, and should have trusted my gut. Restaurant didn’t really do much besides bringing out my order again on a Gf bun. Just constant apologizing but the damage had already been done…. Supposedly Variety of fries are safe in fryer plus other items on menu.
I would NOT recommend eating here. We went today and after ordering from their GF menu and also verbally confirming with the waiter that everything would be GF, I was brought a burger on a regular bun. I was already two bites in when I realized that my bun and the bun my husband’s burger came with were the exact same thing. We beckoned the water over and asked if it was actually GF and she said “oh, you wanted gluten free?”. They did end up bringing out a GF burger but I still had to go vomit to avoid having a sever reaction - even a little cross contamination makes me really ill.
We spoke with the manager afterwards to let him know there was a real breakdown in communication and hopefully keep someone else from getting sick later. He could not have cared less and just said “Well, we brought out another when you told us.” That was not the point and I have not felt well since. I didn’t catch his name but he did not offer to try to make it right or even express concern. We tried to be as pleasant and understanding as possible about it but left feeling frustrated as well as sick.
The food was tasty enough but if your allergy is as intense as mine, it might not be worth a visit.
Love this place! Arguably the best burger on the island…and GF no less!! They provide a separate GF menu that you can fill out to customize your order. Even my non-GF kids loved this place! I have been back 3 times, had burgers, chicken salad, sweet potato fries and shoestring and a chocolate shake and no reactions.
Felt like I didn’t have celiac! A separate GF menu that had sauces, toppings, etc to choose from. Separate GF buns and fryer. Server called out to the kitchen that I had celiac and they noted it when they brought out our food. Appreciate especially when I don’t feel like I’m super limited or can’t have choices. Didn’t get sick at all. Would go back for sure!
This is a build your own burger place that offers a gluten free bun. My son thought the bun was not very tasty but he didn't mind given that he was able to eat a burger. It is easy to eat dairy free and gluten free. The french fries are also gluten free.
They offer a GF build your own burger menu in addition to a selection of regular menu items. The dedicated-fryer fries were great and it looked like they used an Udi’s bun for my burger. My server had no trouble accommodating me, and I am celiac and did not have a reaction.
No stars. Waited 45 minutes for a table. Ordered and then were told they were out of GF buns. I asked to speak to a manager and asked if they could go to the Whole Foods Market that was next door (it is literally next door) to them to get some for our party of 6. Nope, they were unwilling to do so. We left. So disappointed.
Very laid back environment, has a gf menu and quality product. Husband had the breakfast burger on gf bun and said it was amazing. Garlic parmesan fries are awesome too?
I choose this place because they did have a separate gluten free menu along with a build your own burger menu for gluten free, it's one of the few places that had this. my boyfriend got the Mahi Mahi burger, however he was not a fan of the bun, but it wasn't the worst.
Gluten-free, easy to customize menu and a conscientious server! (I mean a legit GF menu - separate, pre-printed menu with only GF items, not a regular menu with some options marked as GF-able.)
Super selection of burgers, salads, sandwiches, and (for the adults) cocktails and (not GF) beer.
They have two fryers; our server said one is supposed to be reserved for GF but she had her doubts so she went to investigate herself, before we could even suggest it. She reported that the two fryers are next to each other and, while the chefs try, she couldn't guarantee no XC, so we didn't chance it. (She has a family member w celiac so really understands.)
Overall, a solid and well-meaning effort, but I'll probably write corporate to suggest that they separate or put a partition between the fryers. Still definitely worth checking out, but proceed w caution on the fries.
One of my favorite places to eat on island and have never had a problem here with getting gluten free. I love their sweet potato fries and burger on a salad (no bun; though they do offer GF buns, I prefer without). I love their pesto on the burger too! Staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Lots to eat and it's all been delicious.
The burgers are really good. The buns can be a bit dry like most gf breads. You can have meat on lettuce if you like. The meat is really, really good. And they'll cook it super pink on the inside if you like med rare. Yum!I like to get extra cheese because they don't put much on. The fries are good if you're in the mood. They have a full bar but I haven't partook. Downside, they're often out of some toppings and the server often forgets to tell you. The burger shows up missing something and then the server tells you that item was out. It's frustrating because we could just pick a different topping if we'd known. This has happened many times. The burgers are great so we keep coming back.
Not good. I went there years ago and had no reaction, but recently I went and got an impossible burger on a gluten free bun with a side of fries. Initially, I wanted to get the vegan veggie burger because meat affects me so I asked if it was gluten free and the server went to check. When he came back he said “it has soy in it so it’s not gluten free” I was super confused and said soy didn’t have gluten and he responded “ok but it does though”. So that was off putting and I wasn’t warned the fries didn’t have a dedicated fryer which I should’ve asked but didn’t think to because I didn’t have a reaction the first time I went. Unfortunately, I ended up getting very sick. I would avoid this place if you have any allergies or celiacs because not only is the staff somewhat rude, but the food will probably give you a reaction.
