Extensive separate gluten free menu. Wait staff knowledgeable of celiac and cross contamination. Separate fryer used for gluten free fries and separate part of the kitchen used for cooking gluten free. I had a veggie sandwich, fries and a shake and my 9 year old had cheese burger, fries and a shake. The gluten free buns used was nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had zero issues later.
Separate gluten free menu. Fantastic gluten free bun. Separate fryer for the fries. Staff is knowledgable about celiac and cross contamination. Love this place!
The food and service at The Counter were excellent. The first time I (a celiac) ate here, the manager came out to discuss gluten-free options with me and to show me the ingredients on some of the products used in preparing my meal, to ensure that everything was gluten-free. I wish more places did this. I was also assured that my food was prepared separately, and the wait staff asked if I suffered from a gluten allergy. I loved the fact that I was able to create my own burger/sandwich (I choose to be a vegetarian, so I couldn't have a patty), fries, AND a delicious milkshake for dessert. I definitely recommend this place!
AMAZING chili cheese fries. Build your own burgers were delicious too! All of the staff were super nice and very knowledgeable about gluten free and celiac. No cross contamination here! Would definitely recommend to anyone with Celiac!
Fries are in a dedicated fryer! Chili cheese fries are gluten free and delicious. They have gluten free buns (udi's) so that you can get almost any burger.
Love the counter!! Their sweet potato fries are delicious!!
Server very aware of celiac needs. Checked every item to make sure it was safe. Great food too!
Little pricey, but the food is delicious.
Attentive staff - I ordered online delivery and chose fries on the side. The manager called me to warn their fryer is not safe and substituted for something else. So even though I was dissappointed not to get fries I felt good knowing he was looking out. Would try again
I’ve eaten here 6 times over last 2 months, and have been the sick the last 3 times. I’m not going back. I’ve a very, very sensitive Celiac sufferer. If you just need GF- then this will work for you. GF burgers, buns, fries are all available. Including GF alcoholic beverages, such as angry orchard in bottles. Don’t try Omission Beer (NOT celiac friendly), and I haven’t ordered milk shakes due to possible cross-contamination. Staff is learning about celiac- but not there yet. Many, many options available. Just not suited for Celiac sufferers. Good parking available in garage in back. Service is great.
A couple things first: 1. This very place is expensive! Be prepared to spend $10 and up 2. It’s not the best food in the world lol But to a celiac who hadn’t had REAL FOOD in a week..this place was heaven! I ended up ordering off of the kids menu, since I was weary about the price and getting sick...gobbled up everything and was absolutely fine..NO REACTION..I was thrilled..went back and got more!
No stars. Waited 45 minutes for a table. Ordered and then were told they were out of GF buns. I asked to speak to a manager and asked if they could go to the Whole Foods Market that was next door (it is literally next door) to them to get some for our party of 6. Nope, they were unwilling to do so. We left. So disappointed.
Risemarie really knew her stuff. Nice to have a non-salad option in an airport!!
Awesome! Great burger. Dedicated fryer.
The staff and especially Rosemary were amazing! Very knowledgeable about gluten free and cross contamination. The French fries were awesome!
Gluten free buns that don’t taste terrible and other options available. Very knowledgeable staff!
The staff was knowledgeable and helped us find all of their gluten-free options. They have gluten-free buns, burgers, and more. Their fries are even in a dedicated fryer.
I thought this restaurant was so great for celiacs and GF people. Good menu to choose from already made burgers and then you can build your own with a Udi’s bun or on a bed of greens. Separate fryer for both shoestring fries and sweet potato fries! Wait was a little long but food was great when it came out!
Very easy to eat GF here and still have some options! Everything is customizable, which is great for both food allergies and picky eaters. Their fries are my favorite (and made in a dedicated fryer). The servers tend to be informed about GF needs. There is a separate GF menu, but I usually just use the regular build your own burger sheet and make a note at the top that I have a gluten allergy. I haven't had any issues, but you do need to know what to avoid (e.g. fried onion strings) to do it this way.
I’m not usually a huge burger person but I loved this place! Our waiter Edwardo was exceptional and put up with all of my questions (both celiac related and general). My favorite part was the dedicated fryer for french fries! Some of the milkshakes are gluten free too!
I’ve been struggling to find good restaurants since I was diagnosed with celiac but I’ve never had a reaction from this place and the food is very delicious. There are lots of options as well and you can order online. The gluten free buns and fries are great as well.
I eat here all the time because it's by my work. Never had a bad gluten reaction, the burgers are DELICIOUS and the fries are great too. Definitely recommend.
I had called the manager prior to arrival to make sure he felt confident they could serve my celiacness. He said to tell my waiter and they will take care of me. Upon sitting I asked for the gf menu and told my waiter he had celiac. He explained he would let the chef know. I ordered and asked if the sweet potato fries were cooked in different oil so I said ok. A few minutes later he told me the manager said he spoke to me and recommends I don't eat the fried food. It is different oil but there could be some splatter from the other grease. I said thank you and they took $3 off my bill. I was just happy they thought it through and were willing to warn me vs just saying "eh, it will probably be fine"
The restaurant allows you to create your own burger, with a dedicated gluten free menu (and good list of other allergens available if necessary). The gluten free bun is very good, for a gluten free bun, and they have a dedicated gluten free fryer for chips. They don't have a separate food prep area, but will clean down the working area between orders to reduce risks.
Some places make such a big deal out of accommodating people with special dietary needs, it’s nice when you find a place that gets it right. Gluten free buns for their delicious build your own burgers, tons of topping options, vegan burger and cheese options, and a dedicated gluten free fryer. I had a delicious bison burger on gluten free bun with goat cheese, onion, grilled pineapple, bacon, and avocado with a side of sweet potato fries. Best meal I’ve had in a long time and was not made to feel like it was any problem to accommodate my needs.
Absolutely delicious and safe!! Definitely go between 3-6 if you can to avoid the busy times. I got the grilled chicken with bacon/cheddar/avocado/ranch, SO GOOD. Chose no bun, though the GF bun looked good. Will definitely come again and hope to see some in the Midwest!
Just came back from a mission trip in Cuba. Had to carry all my food. Hadn’t eaten any real food in a week. They have GF hamburgers and FRIES. Saved my life. Rosemary knows her stuff. She has done some study on GF
Delicious but I got super sick within an hour. The waiter didn’t seem to be paying a lot of attention, I shouldn’t have trusted. I’ll try again if I’m starving but I’d give them a thorough talking to and not trust unless I get full attention
Had a burger on gluten free bun and Rose helped me with GF toppings. Did not get sick. I have celiac.
