We ate at Cowfish last Saturday, November 19, 2022. Gluten sensitive suggestions are listed on the menu. Our waitress began by asking if we have any food allergies. She was very careful and made sure my gf allergy was noted. When our server delivered our plates, he shared that food preparers changed gloves and prepared my food in a designated area. I had a tuna roll and a yellowtail roll. They came with gf soy sauce. The food was outstanding. They also offer gf buns for their burgers. I highly recommend this place. We have eaten here numerous times and not had a bad experience.
I’m newly celiac and while they did not have a dedicated gluten-free menu the staff was very kind and helpful and the kitchen was more than willing to modify certain items. I’ve always loved the ahi tuna nachos but can’t eat the wonton so they made it so I could have it as a lettuce wrap or on sliced cucumber which was delicious!
Very attentive staff that took celiac disease seriously (all food for me had tooth picks with flags saying allergy) but if you're a celiac, not a lot of options due to cross contamination. No separate grill or prep space. Their menu clearing states they can not offer 100% GF. I had a green salad with side of edamame. Nothing to write home about but I wasn't poisoned!
Very good about cross contamination. We said that I had celiac and they knew the drill. They are very knowledgeable and do everything in their power to make their food safe to eat. The waiter came out and told us they were cleaning everything and putting down wax paper. Highly recommend this place, my new favorite restaurant. #celiacheaven
Went with my two children who have celiacs. Waiter was extremely helpful and patient. My son had the sushi and daughter had a burger. Both very tasty. Not sure if it was the manager or kitchen manager but he came to our table and reassured us that they take it very seriously-change gloves, separate utensils etc. Great to hear & much appreciated! Plus they didn't get sick which is the most important!!
Just as awesome for GF as the one in Raleigh. Love the build your own sushi for multiple food allergies and of course love the taste. Highly recommended though the price is a bit steep.
They label everything on the menu that can be made GF as GS (Gluten Sensitive) because they are well aware that ingredients alone don't make it safe for us celiacs.
Server was knowledgable and very accommodating. Food was good and I didn't get glutened. Only downside was that it is pricey
The waiter was a little attitude-y however the menu has GS (gluten sensitive) next to all the safe menu items. Chicken cobb salad with a GF dressing was very tasty :)
Standard menu notes which items are gluten sensitive. Waitstaff was pretty knowledgable. Food was great, and no problems afterward.
Gluten free items are marked on the menu. Sushi can be made to order gluten free. No GF soy sauce or wasabi. I was a bit disappointed with the Sushi we got in regards to taste. I did get a burger on a GF bun too. The burger was too big for the bun so it was messy, but was still delicious! Fries are made is a designated fryer. The manager checks all allergy meals before going out, so except a bit of a delay in getting your food. The server was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions.
Amazing restaurant. Gave clear indicators of what is and isn't gluten-friendly (+ other allergen indicators), and otherwise made great accomodations for food. Food itself was great; had a California Roll, probably the best one I've ever had. TLDR; very good restaurant, would fine at again.
Knowledgeable staff helped with ordering.
I had the best experience here. The staff was super knowledgeable on what I could eat and the food is cooked in a separate area of the kitchen, with a dedicated fryer. The Parmesan truffle fries were amazing and honestly just made me so happy. This will become a regular place for us, everyone in the family left happy.
