This place is simply amazing. Celiac friendly, dairy free friendly and paleo friendly. Brunch was so good I can't wait to come back for dinner. Highly recommend using the check in app listed on their website to avoid a long wait though.
I have several food intolerances and this place is hands down my favorite restaurant in Richmond.
I have eaten at The Daily for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Every meal I have had has been fabulous. Their menus are creative and extensive enough that everyone is able to find something they like. For brunch, I have always ordered their GF French toast with a side of hash browns. It is the best breakfast I have ever had at a restaurant. The bread is made from a local bakery and is soft and moist. The Daily makes their own honey butter which adds a touch of sweetness with the silkiness of the butter. The hash browns are seasoned to perfection with a hint of crispiness. I can't say anything bad about The Daily because everything I have had has been so tasty. My favorite thing about eating here... their menu clearly identifies items as being GF or having the option of being made GF. Such a variety for those of us with celiacs!
Chicken lettuce wraps, chicken stir fry, braised duck, pizza, Brussels sprouts, all gluten free and delicious!!!
I'm not sure what happened, but I felt horrible after eating here and so did my husband who has no gluten issues at all. My digestive distress was not my typical gluten reaction, but we were very uncomfortable for a good 24+ hours after we ate here. The espresso was great. Our waitress was super nice and helpful about some things we were looking for in the area. I had the power breakfast and my eggs were slimy. Well cooked though, so whatever they cooked the eggs in left a film on them. The buckwheat pancakes were dry and the flavor was not great. My husband had the breakfast burrito and he said his eggs were mealy. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table because it was bustling. I had higher expectations for this place and wound up wishing we had chosen somewhere else to eat. Will not return.
Excellent food! My daughter and I had the gluten free pancakes and gluten free French toast. There French toast was huge and delicious!!!
Really good especially for late night eating option! This place is open later than most places. Delicious drink options and yummy gf bar food. Calamari!
Excellent menu and well versed staff. Highly recommend for gluten intolerant.
The food is great! We had brunch. The menu is VERY clear and well labeled. The staff is very knowledgeable. We will certainly be returning!!
Food was great. We had a turkey sandwich and angus burger. Both were delish! Staff seemed to understand the need to be careful with gluten free orders. She said they had a celiac button.
Huge GF menu! Highly recommend if in the area! So many GF, paleo, vegan & vegetarian options!
I have never actually eaten here, but it sounds good. It is not dedicated gluten-free so unsure if okay for Celiacs.
This place has a great environment and so many options for gluten free, dairy free and vegan. I had the power breakfast which included gluten free pancakes that were delicious! Highly recommended
Service and food excellent .would recommend and definitely go again. Best food in Virginia. Strongly recommend the lump crab meat omelet.
They have many GF options. Service was awesome and food was great!
Abundant gluten free options. It's my new 'go-to' spot! I never have to worry about my food while eating at The Daily.
My husband and I have ate here dozens of times without incidence. They have a very wide selection of gluten-free items. For the most part, the wait staff is very aware of gluten - even in alcoholic beverages. They have incredible flavor combinations and a really fun atmosphere. Make sure you use the "No Wait App" if you are dining on a busy night.
This place is ok if you go when they are not busy, but the staff seems to be intermittently knowledgeable and clueless about gluten intolerance/celiac. I have had one really bad experience here mixed in with the really great ones. One day during a busy lunch hour, we went to the daily and I explained my dietary needs and ordered a burger with a gluten free bun. Came to the table via a food runner (not our server) with a regular bun. Called the server over and she claimed it was gluten free, and seemed annoyed when I asked again if she was sure- but she insisted without looking that it was. I took a bite and verified that it was a regular bun and called the server over again to tell her it was a regular bun. She seemed annoyed and dismissive but I insisted that she check so she reluctantly ( and I do me reluctantly - she said " I guess I can take it back to the kitchen but I'm pretty sure it's gluten free") took it to the kitchen to confirm - and it was in fact a regular bun. They took the bun off and put the burger on a cold mealy gluten free bun so clearly they had no knowledge about cross contamination. The server was unapologetic and blamed the expo station even though she insisted twice that it was gluten free. At that point I had already taken a bite of the regular bun so the damage was done. It's good in a pinch and they have gluten free fried options but don't go when they are busy because they won't be able to accommodate your needs if they are pressed for time.
Such a great restaurant ! Has good GF options and so cozy!
