The Dixie Pig Rock Hill

We love the 1/2 chicken. It is the best we have had in the area. The rub is unique and delicious. I'm gluten intolerant but not celiac. I've eaten the 1/2 chicken, potato salad, collards with black eyed peas many times without a problem. We usually go for the 1/2 chicken.

The bbq is awful! I was excited to find bbq that was GF. My husband brought it home and I walked in the kitchen and said Ew what is that horrific smell? He replied dinner. Unfortunately, It tasted as bad as it smelled.

Waitress had no idea what gluten was. She asked the cook what I could eat, they said any meat with any sides other than Mac and cheese....I got pulled pork (overcooked and crispy) my bf got chicken (undercooked and pink), we didn’t get any explanation of sauces so we guessed on a sauce and didn’t like what we ordered. I got the baked beans and black eyed peas with collards, not sure I won’t be sick after this meal.. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
