I, a gluten allergy have-er that can handle cross contamination without symptoms, and my celiac friend with nut allergies shared a baked cheese starter with a "gluten free roll." she asked to confirm with the waiter that all the dark seed looking bits were in fact JUST seeds and NOT nuts. He said "oh that was nut free, but just in case I brought you a different gluten free roll."

We stopped after a couple small bites because it was the best gluten free roll we'd ever had. We asked him to verify and he confirmed it was definitely safe, saying that it was "nut free, gluten free, AND dairy free!" So we decided to enjoy the best gluten free bread of our lives, half a roll each.

Her hives started the next day, worsened the day after that (today) and now I'm in the fetal position experiencing the waves of agonizing cramps that I'd had for years but haven't had for 3 years, since I stopped eating gluten.

Beautiful view from the outdoor seating area, they have a dedicated fryer, and the food was all delicious. Alas.
