Our waitress was knowledgeable about gluten. She said the owner had a family member with celiac. I was told they have a separate grill. They are very aware about cross contamination. They do fry things in a shared fryer but fully disclose which items are cooked like that. So we couldn't have the fries but we ordered salmon, baked potato, and rice.
The waitress brought out our gluten food free separately from the rest of the food so she wouldn't cross contaminate it on the way out.
Other options on the gluten free menu include steak, shrimp, and salads. The gluten free food is costly (Around $20) but I felt safe here and it was fun to eat right by the lake.
Yes
Chef and owners have relatives with Celiac, so they train their staff to be able to point out the safe items on the menu, and are even informed enough to recommend safe cocktails. There are many gluten free items on the menu, however, even though the fried items are battered in rice flour, they do not yet have a dedicated fryer. That being said, modifications are possible to many items, and their dedication to making sure the meal is safe is a real comfort.
