Have dined here multiple times, love it and one of my favorites. The staff is incredible and take cross contamination seriously. A lot of menu items could omit ingredients and use a lot of local farm ingredients- menu changes with the seasons.

Staff is so responsive and thoughtful. I have CD and other food intolerances and they prepared something for me that I could eat. Lovely atmosphere and great staff. Highly recommend.
Staff was very knowledgeable about CD and even asked before we were seated if there were any dietary restrictions or preferences in our party. I ordered the burger and took one bite of the potato bombs and the owner came hustling out of the kitchen and told me not to eat them because they had been dredged in flour before being cooked. I'm giving 5 stars because she made a serious effort that I've never experienced in other restaurants, even though I'll likely be dealing with the consequences of that one bite. It's a bit pricey, but the food, ambience, and mileu make it worthwhile.
This place has awesome food and is very accommodating to make your Gluten-Free experience fabulous! Most items on the menu can be prepared to be Gluten-Free, just ask the waitress or owner and they will be happy to let you know!

This is my favorite restaurant and the staff is very cautious when you let them know you are gluten free.
Visiting Bangor, we walked in for dinner unaware we needed reservations. They seated us anyway. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant, but the noise was too much for my father’s hearing aid, so they moved us to a corner table. That was much better. A member of our group has Celiac disease and cannot consume gluten. Most of the food on the menu was inherently gluten-free so the adjustments required were minimal, and they did not seem to mind making the adjustments. The appetizers and entrées were original and well thought out with interesting and tasty food profiles. We had a great time at the Fiddlehead. The dinner was on the expensive side, but it was worth it for a one-of-a-kind experience.
So knowledgable and friendly! I feel so comfortable going there, and the atmosphere is so cozy! Favorite restaurant in Bangor!
The owner, Lauren, took care of me and took me through their entire menu and told me which items were gf or could be altered. The chef made an absolutely awesome meal for me. THEIR DESSERT MENU HAS GF and DAIRY FREE OPTIONS!!! I had the chocolate torte with some honey lavender sorbet. Everything was perfect and I had no worries because of the knowledge of the staff.
