Gluten free and dairy free options available. They made an extra effort to make sure my meal was soy free as well. It was the first time I have had gluten free fish and chips. It was delicious!!!!!!

The best fish and chips gluten free ever!!
Nothing like eating locally caught fish in a harbour hearing the seagulls while eating on a floating platform!
Out of all the restaurants we visited this one is the one that will stay in our memories of our trip.
Thank you!

Hands down some of the best GF fish & chips I’ve ever had. Very knowledgeable staff. Nearly everything is GF. Dedicated fryer. While not explicitly listed GF, there is a “ask about GF options” listed on it. Will always go here when I’m in Victoria.

Amazing gf fish and chips! Pretty much their entire menu can be done gf because they have a seperate fryer. Really great, loved not feeling left out at such a gluten heavy food place.

It was okay. With all the great reviews, I expected to be more impressed. The fries didn't seem "fresh cut and double deep fried". I had the halibut. It was good. I did really like the tartar sauce they had. I preferred the dish at Bartholomew to be honest.

Do it!! Tasty, safe, good options, cute ambiance! When you’re on the water you want fish and this scratches the itch. I had the halibut fish tacos and a yummy can of GF lager by Forager’s. My non-GF partner was also very happy with his sandwich. No compromises needed, a win for everyone! No bad reactions afterwards from me and I’m pretty sensitive.

Fairly decent fish and chips. No GF markings so make sure you pick up the right order from the window.

Incredible fish and chips, really wide array of options. It’s a busy and small kitchen but I felt the level of knowledge was really high across the staff and I ate happily with no ill effects. I am from Britain and so fish and chips should be “our” thing really but this was far and away better than most offerings I’ve had at home. Battered salmon was absolutely delicious, make sure you get two pieces.
Loads of people there on a sunny Tuesday evening so a bit of a wait but well worth it. Chips are twice fried and really tasty.

I wanted gf fish and chips. Could I have found a better place? Yes. Was I still happy? Yes. I got the halibut. The batter was a little bland. Also to note they don’t mark the gf plates and they look exactly like the non gf fish. I asked about 4 times to make sure it was correct. The good news is—I did not get sick. It is a little bit of a hike from the main area of Victoria and the wharf does seem to be a little of a tourist trap.

Finding a fish and chips place with a dedicated fryer and GF beer is a double win. Have I had better fish and chips? Yes. Do I wish the beer option (Whistler Forager) was one made from malted GF grains not syrup? 100%. Does that make me an ungrateful complainer? Maybe. Enjoy it for what it is.

I've had the fish and chips, and tacos. I didn't get sick, so despite the small space they are careful. The food itself is meh. Tacos are bland, the fish and chips are swimming in grease. The place is busy so getting food out it a priority rather than draining it properly. Exactly what you'd expect from a restaurant going for the tourist market. It has been celiac safe in my experience though, which goes a long way if you need it.

Wait staff were knowledgeable about celiac disease and they went through the gluten free options while ordering. A “celiac alert” was visible on the computer system for both my son and my orders. When picking up our food we were told again about our food being gluten free. It was a fantastic meal of fish tacos, halibut and fries and neither of us became sick afterwards. Great spot!

Not sure what the other review was about but we just confirmed they do have a dedicated gf fryer and even have a sticker from the celiac association on their window. I felt very confident about the safety. GF menu is not posted but they will tell you which options cannot be made gf. Most of the menu can be gf.

Asked for gluten-free / celiac friendly fish and chips. We were informed they did not recommend celiacs ordering from them as they have a small kitchen, no GF flower, and NO GF fried. Nice, informed staff, but not celiac friendly.

So yummy 🤤 fish 🐠 and chips, soup (don’t get the salmon 🍣 soup it has gluten) They do have a dedicated fryer and ask them to label your order Celiac. Loved the Halibut fish and chips, the tartar sauce and Cole slaw was fantastic!

Ils ont une friteuse dédiée au sans gluten et sont au courant de la maladie et de la contamination croisée. Excellente nourriture, le poisson est issu d'une pêche durable et les contenants sont compostables. Ils offrent aussi une très bonne bière sans gluten.

GF fish and chips prepared in a dedicated fryer. Generous portions and you get to enjoy your food at Victoria’s lovely Fisherman’s Wharf. Didn’t have any issues with cross contamination.

Gluten free Fish and Chips!!!! And they were amazing! Need I say more?
Yes
I was extremely disappointed to say the least. Visiting all the way from North Carolina and looking forward for some GF fish and chips. The server was handling the food with bare hands, no gloves whatsoever, and handled our GF fish and chips after touching bread for another serving, cross-contaminating our meals. Our meals had been “labeled” allergy and Gluten free by the cashier, so NO excuses here. Both my Canadian nephew and myself are Celiac. Totally unacceptable, I was livid. We were in a rush to catch a boat ride so there was no time to get anything else. Unacceptable!!!

Don’t miss this place!!! Our absolute favourite place for fish and chips. Located at the beautiful Fisherman’s Wharf, this restaurant has excellent celiac awareness so rest assured that your meal will be carefully prepared. Everything they make is outstanding and every Wednesday you get 20% off your order if you mention the “Celiac Scene” (local group).
GF fish and chips, done in a separate fryer! So good! I enjoyed it very much!
Great fish and chips with a dedicated fryer.
