I called on 2 different occasions to confirm Celiac safety. Both times, I was assured they understand and accommodate Celiac. For my second call, the lady said only 1 item on the menu wasn’t GF. I was confused as several items on the menu are fried. When I asked about a dedicated fryer, she did not understand my question. After explaining, the lady said they would just dump out the oil and use fresh for us. Should have been a red flag!
Upon arrival, hostess was unfriendly. Our server was very knowledgeable and assured me they did not have a dedicated fryer and many items were not gluten free. Although knowledgeable, he lacked in friendliness and our entire party just shook our heads each time he left the table.
The food was really good but definitely did not feel well later that night or the next day.
Because of uncertainty of a gluten safe meal and unfriendly staff, I cannot recommend and will not be returning.

Server was nice but not familiar with what was gluten free. She kept having to go back to the back and ask. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant but wouldn’t go back. Hostess was also very rude.

A quick summary
1. Dedicated fryer
2. Gluten free panko breading
3. Gluten free bread
4. Thorough knowledge of food allergens, cross contamination and take these things seriously.
5. They do not have a dedicated GF menu but a member of their team who was gluten intolerant stopped at our table to go over the menu in great detail. She explained what was safe and how they could prevent cross contamination.
I felt incredibly safe. I felt like I could eat like I did before my diagnosis. And eat I did.
Please note that most of my meal did have dairy but there are options for DF as well.
I had the soup of the night. I can’t remember the name but it was delicious. Then for my main course, I had Shrimp and Grits. This meal literally brought tears to my eyes as it was so rich of flavor. I scraped my plate until it couldn’t be scraped clean any longer.
My husband also got the Pork Chop which could be modified to ensure gluten free without contamination.
The portion sizes were huge. The food was insanely good and to top it off, when there wasn’t a GF dessert option, our waitress made sure that their ice cream and Chocolate sauce was GF and suggested ice cream, chocolate sauce and strawberries for dessert. Who and I to say no to that.
I live 14 hours away from those Shrimp and Grits and I would gladly drive this way just to have another serving
