21/12/2024 Back again and another fantastic meal. Again no allergens menu but happy to adapt anything. Had a wonderful burger complete with gf bun and onion rings, chips and fab chocolate cake and icecream for dinner! Make sure you ask them as they have hidden gems not on the menu for coeliacs!

Fabulous pub. I arrived and asked for an allergens menu, they didn't have one which sent waves of horror down my spine but no it was OK they make everything fresh to order and can adapt almost all items on the menu. I was sent off to pick my top 3. Decided on the burger which they confirmed they could make gluten and dairy free. This obviously meant no blue cheese or peppercorn sauce but what arrived was delicious; beefburger, gluten and dairy free bun, lettauce, pickles, tomatoes, chips and the best battered onion rings! Here in lay my suspicions so I asked they checked with the kitchen and there was no hesitations, they were fine, ran back "hang on we're just checking the beer for gluten!" But no all was fine the chef had it in hand and had made them with soda just for me. I can not fault a restaurant who triple checks for you, I would much rather this than suffer the consequences! Would highly recommend. Apologies coeliacs I did not ask about kitchen facilities for any cross contamination but I'm extremely sensitive and no reaction and from how conscientious they were it would certainly be a place to consider with further questions.
