I come to UTM once a year and I am always look forward to coming here. Recently I learned I am allergic to gluten. The staff was knowledgeable about their options and the manager came and spoke to us and answered any questions we had. She said they could make any of the burgers on gf bread and put the meat on a skillet of its own on the grill to avoid cross contamination. They also made me a gf milkshake and it was delicious!

Happy they were able to clarify the safety, but disappointed in lack or opinions. Gluten free bread does zero good when all options to go on it are cooked on a shared grill. Fries are not gluten free. Shakes are not gluten free and have high risk of cross contamination. The dole whip machine is as talked up, only to discover that it was broken.
Drove an hour for a VERY disappointing experience.
Also, could not accommodate any desert for a tree nut allergy kid.

Not many gf choices. I was told they had gf buns but they did not. Only gf bread. Management could not confirm if fries were safe or not. Said other things could’ve been cooked in that oil in the past, so didn’t get fries. Left with a little of a stomach ache after having a burger, but didn’t get sick. Don’t really recommend.

I came to TN in 2020. And at the time their management team knew nothing of Gluten and how to avoid cross contamination.
The offer GF bread from Sammie’s (same owners and next door) their fries are safe and the new management team greets and talks to GF customers. They have gotten to the point that they know us well. We trust them again after a rough start. The new management team really are the reason we go back.

Only option was a burger with gf bun, lettuce wrap or plain. They do not have a dedicated fryer for fries so salad was the only side option. They do have slaw but we did not find out if it was gf. Waitress was experienced with celiac but not confident with some of the choices. Milkshakes were not an option. Dessert only choice was a root beer float.

At first glance of the menu there’s not anything I could eat as is. The staff were very helpful though and checked with the manager for what would be safe for me to eat. I was able to get a burger without seasoning with lettuce, tomato, pickles and mustard and they had gluten free bread (no buns). The only safe side was a salad. The food was good and I didn’t have any reactions. Not a ton of GF options, but you at least won’t feel left out if eat you eat here with friends/family.
SUCH a good place to eat. Lots of wonderful options, and you can go bunless, get gluten-free bread, or get a lettuce wrap. I got gf bread for my chicken sandwich, and it was wonderful. My waitress was very knowledgeable on this issue.
