The staff was only partially knowledgeable of the gluten free food items. The curry chicken is the only chicken item not marinated in malt vinegar. I was told the veggie dishes were safe and that the pakora was gluten free. However, after reading a review that the pakora is not gluten free I did not try it. Felt very unsafe about the food but did not get sick from the veggie dish I ate.

This place was so concerning!! I read a review similar to my experience but assumed it was a one time situation, NOT! They have tons and tons of GF marked on their menu. I told the waiter I was severely allergic to gluten, and confirmed that everything would be gluten free, and he was very reassuring. 10 minutes later this older lady (owner?) comes over to my table and asks if I am celiac. I tell her yes. She says that all the items I ordered are gluten free, they just have A LITTLE GLUTEN IN THEM. WHAT?! She explained that the meat is tenderized in a barley malt but she knows a celiac person and it doesn't bother them so they marked all of those gf on the menu. UM, NO! That is so not ok. I explained that I am not ok with any gluten. She changed my order to one that was completely gf. However, when she brought my order to the table I checked again to make sure it was the completely gf meal "No, you said that a little gluten was ok!". In the end, after a lot of confusion I ate a chicken curry and plain rice and was not sick. Would never go there again. Be safe and go get a pizza at Boston Pizza (eaten there so many times and never gotten sick!). Only giving 2 stars because I was not sick in the end.

Absolutely amazing food with plenty of menu items labeled GF. Tell your server so that they can verify as ours was very helpful and made sure. My daughter ate a ton of food and had no reaction at all.

Very nice service and great food. BUT …the menu is not labelled correctly. The staff had to bring out the chef to clarify. Pakora and butter chicken were labelled GF but were not. After talking tobte chef she recommended the chicken curry which was lovely and safe. No reactions. Would therefore recommend it, but don’t trust the menu !

As someone with Celiac I felt very safe dining here. When I told the hostess I had a gluten allergy she asked me to clarify if it was an allergy or Celiac. She knew the difference because her granddaughter has food allergies. She then let me know that even though the menu had GF items clearly marked, a couple were not Celiac safe because they contained malt vinegar in the meat marinade. She showed me what I could safely have and there were still tons of options. I had a very delicious lamb dish with rice. I was just visiting Niagara Falls, but if I lived in the area I would happily dine here regularly.
