Such a cute shop! Lovely people who work there and great sweet treats!
‘Kid in a candy store’! They have a large variety of cookies, cupcakes, breads, muffins, specialty treats and so much more. I was traveling through the area so I picked up almost 2 of everything and all has been delicious that I’ve tried. Wanted to freeze most for future consumption yet it’s so good that I’m having a hard time setting some aside. Plus my non gf family members are loving the tastes & keep eating. Items are soft & so flavorful - nothing is falling apart while eating or gritty. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to travel to North Philly again to go back!
The entire bakery is GF. They also offer a variety of soy free, vegan, egg free baked goods. I tried a few vegan items- chocolate peanut butter cookie sandwich, vanilla cupcake, chocolate cupcake, muffins & a baguette everything was amazing. My non GF husband even enjoyed the bread.
100% gluten free facility. All items are clearly marked to be soy free, dairy free, or vegan (egg free). Their staff are very knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients, cautious about cross contamination if you have a mixture of vegan or not vegan items, and super friendly. Everything on the menu we tried (bread, donuts, cupcakes, brownies…) was delicious.
This bakery is awesome! It’s 100% gluten free and everything I tried was delicious! I ordered a vanilla 2-layer birthday cake with vanilla icing that was beautifully decorated and tasted like Stock’s pound cake! I also tried a bunch of their other goodies: a cinnamon bun with cream cheese icing, carrot cake muffin with cream cheese icing, mini lemon pound cake, blueberry/lemon donut, creme filled powdered donut, and a cinnamon crumb donut. Every single thing was fantastic! I will definitely order from The Happy Mixer again!
I love Happy Mixer. It’s great for anything bakery or even sandwich bread. They have amazing cookies brownies cakes cupcakes donuts and even more. They all taste really great! It’s a dedicated gluten free place and I have never had issues with my stomach after eating anything from the Happy Mixer
The Happy Mixer is undoubtedly one of, if not the best, gluten free bakeries I’ve ever been to! The bakery is 100% GF, so there is no chance of cross contamination. All of the baked goods taste incredible - especially the donuts, which taste like real, airy donuts! The muffins and pound cake are awesome as well! Prices are very affordable too, and staff is very friendly! More than worth going out of your way for!
The Happy Mixer ti an excellent Gluten Free bakery. I have been shopping there for years. They make absolutely stunningly beautiful cakes, and have a great selection of yummy vegan goodies
I love this place! All of their goodies are irresistible!! So delicious! Everything is gf. Some stuff is vegan and dairy free. I think you can also request items ahead a time if you need something that is gf, but also dairy free, nut free ect.. very allergy/ celiac comidating
Cinnamon rolls taste like Cinnabon smells- such a wonderful treat! I also really enjoyed the carrot cake muffins (really more of a cupcake).
They were also really nice about accommodating my needs: chocolate currently upsets my stomach, and I was able to preorder a nonstandard cupcake and frosting combo to avoid chocolate while getting exciting flavors.
I was less enthused about the pumpkin muffins, which were a bit dry.
Their items are very hit or miss. Their Kiffles and loaf cakes are always good but their normal cake has a weird dense texture that is distracting. Their pretzels are good too!
I was passing through on the way to meet family, knowing that during my stay it would be difficult for me to cook for myself safely, so I stocked up! All of the sweets I had were awesome, with special shoutouts to the pumpkin pie, whoopie pies, and the peanut butter thing that I can’t remember the name of but was basically the equivalent of a tastycake. The only thing that was really disappointing was the bread. I got a baguette and it was flavorless (even when toasted) with a pretty off-putting texture. It was the only thing I didn’t finish from my stockpile. Maybe I’m just spoiled from the great variety of gf bread available to me back home.
Drove about an hour to this bakery and it was definitely worth it! I loved their donuts and crumb cake. The staff seemed very friendly as well.
