Lots of different choices. So tasty.
I eat here every chance i get-whenever i pass through Portland. I have never had a reaction to eating their GF donuts, and they are so incredibly delicious. I liters dream of these donuts. Every Celiacs dream. The GF donuts go fast though so get there early or call ahead!
The gluten free donuts are absolutely amazing! I still dream about them. Can’t wait to go back someday.
Ran out of gluten free before noon
Awesome GF donuts!!! Many flavors to choose from. My favorites are the chocolate coconut and maple glazed.
GF Chocolate Sea Salt donut seemed great until I got incredibly sick. GF donuts are right next to regular donuts and there isn’t much consideration for cross contamination. Also, staff is too cool to be bothered with dietary concerns. I won’t be back.
Amazing gluten free options. Got chocolate and sea salt, maple glazed, lemon glazed and cinnamon & sugar. Absolutely delicious. Great service as well. Get there early so they don’t run out of GF options!
What a treat to have a fresh gluten free donut! My husband (who is not gf) had a bacon Maple and he said it was one of the best donuts he'd ever had. The gf donuts were in a separate area a d at the top of the case, and the server was careful to put mine in a separate bag.
Great GF donuts. It's hard to find a GF donut anywhere, so having a few options to choose from was nice. I was a little nervous about how close the regular donuts were in the case to the GF ones at the Exchange St location (I did get one and felt fine afterward). I felt better about how the GF donuts are separated into a different case at the Park Ave location.
The gluten free are right next to gluten donuts I wouldn't eat here if you were celiac but you can got to the park place location just a ride up and they're celiac friendly
It’s a cake donut, best one I’ve had since becoming gluten free, options today were chocolate, cinnamon, lemon, coconut and maple :) big choices, although they store next to regular donuts.... but I didn’t get sick
Outstanding donuts!!! Worth any road trip !! Hello west coast time to take a plane ride to the East!! Will be back soon !! Moist , excellent flavor !
Gf maple donut was amazing! Went back the next day to try the chocolate and coconut ones.
GF chocolate w/ sea salt = awesome.
Absolutely loved the maple donut and the coconut chocolate gf donut. I was so excited to try this place... it was excellent! I recommend getting there early. If not, call because they run out of gluten free donut flavors. We are headed back again today, after calling to find a location with some gf options.
Great choices! Delicious donuts- celiac and did not get sick.
Phenomenal donuts. Also celiac and don't get sick! Had chocolate sea salt and coconut!
Delicious donuts. I have celiac and did not get sick.
Dense but delicious. Haven't had a donut that isn't cake like though. Had four options. Got the chocolate coconut and it was a great treat. Would definitely come back!
So good! Got half dozen gf donuts! Chocolate sea salt, maple, strawberry, old fashioned, cinnamon, glazed! They're homemade Maine potato donuts, not potato flour, mashed potato! They have non gf sweet potato too. So yummy!!
Best gluten free donut ever. Ever ever
Four types of GF donuts!!! Say what?!?! And it was so delicious!
The GF chocolate sea salt donut is sooo good! they generally have one other flavor, but it's not many nor often. This is NOT a GF environment, they make many glutenous donuts a day! I've been sick on several occasions, due to cross contamination.
The food was awesome!
Most amazing GF donut of my life!! The staff is super friendly.
Good donuts and friendly staff. Three gluten free options when we visited. The cinnamon sugar donut was great. Kind of a novelty stop when walking around town
The only celiac friendly donut in town I know of. I was in the shop and overheard someone order a dozen donuts. They said throw a few GF into the box as well because someone at the office was gluten free. The server insisted they go into a separate bag just in case that person was celiac. 'Nuf said!
If you like heavy, deep fried donuts, they offer a couple choices made with potato flour. The rest are all a combo of wheat & potato flour. All I could taste was a "deep fried" flavor. $2.70 for a 'GF' donut
cinnamon donut was amazing. chocolate salted a little too salty and rich for me, but I would drive hours for another cinnamon donut. wow.
Amazing donuts, seriously. The dark chocolate sea salt is basically heaven. If you're really sensitive though, be wary: the shop is quite cloudy (like dense flour-y bakery air, you know?) because they make thousands of glutenous donuts every day! While I have thoroughly enjoyed the donuts I've had on 4-5 different occasions, I had varying reactions to most. Three stars based on gluten-free-friendliness, a million stars based on the holiest of donuts.
Amazing donuts, period. Way better than regular donuts and to be able to enjoy them gf is a treat. They usually have 3 or so gluten free flavors. The coconut and dark chocolate sea salt are to die for.
Dedicated fryers, separate area where gf donuts are displayed so no crumb droppage from the other non-gf donuts. Maybe the best donut I've ever had, even before going gluten-free!
Honestly, the best gluten free donut I have ever had!
The GF donuts are all cake donuts, so if you're expecting a chewy glazed donut experience, you'll be disappointed. Also, the taste profile from one flavor to another isn't very different. Most of the flavor is in the frosting. The GF donuts were kept in a separate case but when the store is busy, I would worry about cross-contamination from the servers' gloves. On a different note, I was asked to wait for my specialty coffee. The store was packed, so when the coffee type (not my name, like other coffee shops do) was called, I didn't hear it. When my husband inquired after several minutes, the gentleman behind the counter (in the Dallas Cowboys hat) blamed us for the mistake and said he gave it away to someone else. Another one was made, but the first impression was already set. For four donuts and a coffee, our bill was $21. We will not be back.
I have celiacs and this place was great! Amazing flavors for GF. We bought 1 of each flavor they had: Lemon glaze, maple glaze, chocolate glaze, cinnamon glaze, glazed chocolate coconut, and plain! Moist, not overly sweet, great texture, just AWESOME :-)
We love to the gluten free selections at Holy Donut. They have an ever expanding selection (Dark chocolate sea salt, lemon, chai, old-fashioned, cinnamon sugar, triple berry, and maple) of GF donuts. Have eaten there 30 times over 5 years and never gotten sick. (Not celiac)
They make gluten free separate I ask for the ones in the back under plastic to avoid cross contamination because the ones out are exposed when they make donuts. Call the night before to ask them to set some aside! Best donuts I've had and even those who aren't gf love them!
outstanding, the taste of each gf donut I have tried is delish, the staff is kind, understanding, and know about celiac. I recommend that you call the day before you plan to go if you are going to purchase a dozen, that way you know there will be a variety in your dozen since they go quickly. I travel over an hour to buy my donuts, they freeze well,, well worth the trip.
Delicious!!! They use separate cutting equipment and a separate GF fryer with oil just to cook the GF donuts. I hadn't had a fresh, warm, REAL donut in almost three years so this was heaven! You wouldn't know that it's GF! My faves are the chocolate sea salt and the cinnamon sugared donuts.
They always have cinnamon sugar gf donuts, and they feature a second option that varies daily. When I went, they had chai glazed. Both the cinnamon sugar and chai glazed were delicious! It was so great to actually have a warm donut! The staff was very friendly and the coffee was good. (I didn't ask about a separate fryer...I should have...but I was too excited. I didn't feel sick, for what that's worth.)
