There aren’t that many gluten free options marked on the menu, but the gluten free pancakes were so big and fluffy and absolutely delicious!

This place got bigger over the years, but the number of gluten free choices got fewer. WAY fewer. I think there were 4 choices. Fortunately for me, I found something I really liked. Pancakes! Also, the coffee was good. Also, service was good.

I do not recommend if you are super sensitive to gluten… I had a gluten free pancake and I had an allergic reaction to it. I think the pancakes it’s self were gluten free but not cooked in a gluten free area. The coffee was good though and so was the service. Although my side (a potato) was cold and over seasoned.

I went to this restaurant and I had an allergic reaction to there gluten free pancakes. My side the potato was cold and over seasoned. There coffee was good and so was the service but I wouldn’t trust the places if you are super sensitive to gluten.
I absolutely loved this place. Excellent food and lots of gluten free options. The atmosphere is really vibrant and a great place for brunch!!

Unfortunately we were really disappointed. We were driving through Prescott and saw the reviews and we were excited to stop here for lunch. It was probably an off day for them but the service was poor, it took a long time for our food to come out and my daughter who has celiac food came out wrong, so she had to wait even longer. She ordered a breakfast quesadilla on a gf tortilla by it came out as eggs and a plain tortilla. They took it back and fixed it. My other daughter ordered a grilled cheese (she is not gf) and it was cold and burnt on one side she couldn’t even eat it. The sides to our meals came out after our meals. I got the gf pancakes and they were good but super expensive for 2. I was really disappointed in the amount of food you were given for the price.

Went in to try the gf pancakes, very very good! They are served with a sweet butter syrup. Also tried a thumbprint cookie from the baked goods, a yummy treat!

Great breakfast spot. The food was excellent and they had GF pancakes (which are so rare). Everyone (gf and not) enjoyed the meal.

Eat here at your own risk! Server at breakfast had zero clue what gluten was. Had to press her to ask the lurch about ingredients of my breakfast item. Luckily, breakfast went ok despite my reservations. Ordered sandwiches for takeout on our way out of town and specified over the phone 3 times that one needed to be gluten free. Got 40 minutes up the road to eat our picnic and the bread was absolutely NOT gluten free. Not even a little bit. I called and the manager wasn’t even able to offer to take that item off the bill for me without consulting the owner tomorrow! Really!? For an establishment with “gluten free” plastered all over their website they had zero clue how to actually handle an allergy order.

Most of the menu was available GF but not all. It is not marked on the menu but a quick convo with the super friendly staff got me the info I needed. Was so excited to be able to order gluten free French Toast!!! It was so good. My husband had the eggs Benedict (not GF). He said it has a Southwest twist and was amazing as well. Will definitely be back!

Yes
The staff is very knowledgeable. I had a gotta with fresh veggies and smashed sweet potatoes. Very yummy!
Yes
One of my favorite places to go because of their GF breakfast burrito! Everything always tastes fresh and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable about food allergies.
Yes
Love this place! Food is delicious and I have been there many times and never got sick once.
Yes
Very good food. Celiac friendly. Just have to explain about celiac and the staff is knowledgeable.

The Local, in Prescott, Az, is great. I had a gf burrito and my non-gluten free husband had a hamburger. Both were Excellent! And we topped it off with a cookie. I highly recomend the orange frosted cookies.
** Stopped here for lunch after reading other celiac reviews. The gf blt wrap I ordered came with a side of fresh fruit, it was delicious. My husband (non gf) ordered a burger and cookies, which he really enjoyed too
* Our server, Jade was kind and knowledgeable.
We had a delicious meal there. The staff was very friendly. My son who has Celiac ordered the GF pancakes and did not get sick! I had the BLT and it was delicious. We will go back when visiting again.
Yes
Great food! Reasonable cost and I even got dessert!! The ginger aoli is to die for.
Yes
Ah-maz-ing! Really great food- so aware and careful with my celiac dz! Meet the owner (sweetheart!!!) and took a wonderfully made baked daily cookie for the road. P.S. order the pancakes...they made me feel like I’ve never actually had a real pancake in my whole life!
Yes
Great food and great service! They had special gluten free bread. Food wasn't super flavorful but they provided local hot sauce that was very yummy!
If you let them know you have celiac, they take great precautions against cross contamination. Gluten free bread is toasted on a cleaned off rack. Food was delicious and there are even baked goods to enjoy. I tried a lemon cookie and it was great!

As a Celiac, we looked hard to find a place we would feel safe eating at while here in Prescott. The Local was the one that stood out. We stopped in and we were greeted by a very friendly and very knowledgeable person who seated us. She explained how the grills are Cleaned and separate utensils are used. And, though no separate menu, many options to choose from. The "cakes". (Pancakes) were delicious and fluffy. No reaction. We'll be back if we ever come back through.

Our first time here and we loved it! Great food, friendly staff, the owner and chef stopped by to talk to us while we were there. I highly recommend this place!
Food was fresh and flavorful! There was not a GF menu, but I was told they could accommodate me with GF bread, bun or tortilla upon request. Our server was able to tell me which items to avoid and helped with finding items that were also dairy-free and nut-free. I opted to have a wonderful salad called "The Special". The non-GF diners in our party had the Meatloaf, OK Corral Burger, and the Acai Bowl -- everyone left satisfied! Overall, a very good experience :)
Very tasty breakfast with no issues after. Friendly staff. Will return when I'm in town.
Had the salad and soup and it was delicious. So nice to have gf place to eat while traveling. They serve breakfast and lunch all day. Service was great.

Thank you all for a wonderful experience. The staff is very knowledgeable of g.f. needs and went through the entire menu with me. We were a party of 10 and EVERYONE was pleased with their choice. Delicious g.f. cookie, non- g.f. cinnamon rolls yummy. Thanks again!

No issues at all server was knowledgable and breakfast was very tasty.
The service and food were very good, fresh and original. My daughters both have celiac disease and one was "glutened". I believe from a cookie we ordered from the traveling dessert tray - which had a gluten free cookie touching a regular piece of cake.
Because the restaurant was not very busy and is small and our waitress was very knowledgable about celiac, I let my guard down and didn't tell the dessert person to make sure the cookie was safe also. I assumed the "display" cookie was only for display, but was probably mistaken. Just goes to show that you have to reiterate to everyone that food can't be cross-contaminated.
With Prescott's few gluten-free restaurants, The Local is a great option. Just be sure to tell everyone who comes to the table that you need to be celiac-safe.

Fabulous! Great food, many gf options. I'm super sensitive and had no problems at all. Staff clearly understands cross contamination, I just let them know I'm celiac. Had breakfast one day and went back the next day for lunch. Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. The owner came out to check whether I was celiac or life style and was told the grill would be cleaned before my food was made. I felt very safe eating there. Next time I'm in Prescott, The Local will be my first choice for dining.

The food and service were both wonderful! This is going to be my new favorite place to eat. Delicious pastries.
Yes
GF options, and organic, non gmo, locally grown/raised, ingredients. The owner is usually working, the staff pleasant and the chef comes out to make sure everyone is happily stuffing their faces. I order the Huevos Rancheros which is delicious and the owner bakes gf goodies too.
